Nice volt meter and USB charger ports.
Sisters PT cruiser has had issues with the alternator not always charging so picked this guy up. It also gives you two replacement USB ports for the one it takes up so a win win. So far it is giving accurate voltage readouts and her phone still gets to plug in and stay charged while she's driving. The blue readout looks nice and is easy to see so she can keep an eye on the voltage to make sure the alternator is fully working. It should fit in most places and seems well made. It also made it easier to trouble shoot the problem and I was able to figure out the issue and fix it so far. Seems like a great deal for everything it gives you.

GREAT CHARGER, GREAT PRICE... JUST WISH IT HAD A BRIGHTER DISPLAY!!!
I originally bought this item in the blue-colored display, as I favored that color. I bought it to use in our aircraft, hoping that it would be able to keep my iPad Pro 10.5 (with bluetooth, wi-fi, and cellular capabilities) fully charged during use of the iPad as a backup device that displays navigation, traffic, and weather while inflight. I LOVE the capabilities of the iPad for aviation use, but on sunny days at full display brightness, other chargers I have used could not keep it charged. That meant that, on long flights, I was always concerned about the battery dying and losing those tremendous backup capabilities. Well, the Jebsens charger was absolutely up to the task, never allowing the battery in my iPad Pro to drop below about 95%, usually keeping it at 100%. When flying with another pilot friend, it also kept his iPad just as fully charged at the same time as mine... FANTASTIC!!! In addition, it also provides a digital LED display accurately showing the aircraft's charging system voltage, which is a real plus considering the rather poor performance of the analog gauges on most legacy general aviation aircraft. I know that it is accurate because I checked it against two other very high quality voltmeters from different electrical test equipment manufacturers whose displays always agree to within hundredth of a volt, and the Jebsens unit was never off by more than .1 volts from the other two. It also displays the charging rate for any device to which you have it connected to quickly let you know that status. However, although I was tremendously pleased with its charging performance and system voltage display capability, the light intensity of the blue display was incredibly weak, making that display virtually unreadable in any daylight. I hoped it was just a fluke, and that I simply got a unit with an abnormally weak display. I contacted Jebsens about the problem, asking if what I was experiencing was normal and, if not, could I possibly exchange it for another unit. I also asked that, If the weak display was normal, could I exchange the blue display unit for a unit with the red-orange display, hoping that it would be brighter. They responded very quickly, basically telling me that the blue display was weaker, and that they would definitely send me a replacement unit with the red-orange display at no cost, and that I could just keep the original unit as well. What GREAT customer service!!! When I got the replacement unit with the red-orange display, I found that it performed just as well as the blue display unit, but that the intensity of the display seemed about three times as bright as the blue unit. In extremely bright sunlight it is still a wee bit of a challenge to read it, but it is more than acceptable. I have been SO happy with the replacement red-orange display unit that I just bought another one to give to my pilot buddy who had used mine along with me previously. I am also using the original blue unit in my Toyota 4Runner that is my off-roading, trailer towing, vacation vehicle. With its heavily tinted windows, the blue display unit is at least usable. So, if you intend to use one of these chargers during the day, I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND buying the red-orange display unit. However, no matter which one you choose, you'll get GREAT performance from a GREAT, responsive Seller, at a GREAT price when considering its capabilities... especially keeping high-draw electronics very well charged in your aircraft, boat, or road or off-road vehicle.

Good high-speed charger with readout for voltage and charging amps
Charges phones and tablets no problem but the display automatically switches between voltage of the car and amps that it's charging and I don't really care about the amps charging I'm more want to monitor my car's voltage other than that this is a great piece of equipment!

Easy way to add a voltmeter to your car
I purchased this item because my Subaru Forester does not have a voltmeter in the gage cluster. This item expands my USB outlets and allows me to see the voltage of the battery or electrical system. I bought the one with the red display because other reviews noted that the red display was brighter than the blue one. I found that the red display is good but not overly bright. It works well. The voltmeter function worked down to 5.5 VDC . Compared to a calibrated voltmeter, the voltage displayed was within .2 VDC from 5.5 to 15 VDC, accurate enough for general use in a car. When a USB load is applied, the display alternates between the voltage and current and appeared to be accurate. I liked this item enough to order another one. When it came, I found that it had the blue display! The box showed the blue display, but the P/N sticker that was applied said it was red. No worry, I will keep it. The blue display is not quite as bright as the red to my eyes and it works well. Take your pick of the colors! Nice item for the price.

works well
This works well as a voltage meter, current (amp) meter (for usb charging), and a dual usb charger. The display is larger than most, and easier to read. The display alternates between voltage, and amps to the usb port (if something is charging). You can see the battery voltage by turning the car to the "on" position, but not starting it. Then you can see the alternator voltage after starting the car. It's a quick, easy way to monitor the most critical aspects of your car's electrical system. The blue led display is a little hard to read in daylight. It's not dim, the problem is the surface is glossy, and reflections of the sky through the window, or things in the car obscure the numbers. You can shade it with your hand, but I don't recommend that while driving. This comes with a sheet of instructions and specifications. However, you don't need the instructions. It's very obvious how to use it. This sticks well in my lighter outlet. I have had no problems with it popping out. I'm sure that differs between car models. If you have trouble, I suggest tightening the fit by putting a little electrical tape (or any non flammable tape) on the plastic part of the shaft. Don't cover the metal contacts. To clear up any confusion, this does NOT monitor the overall current (amps) pulled from your car's battery. For that, you would need something wired into the car's battery cables. This monitors the current (amps) output to connected usb devices.

Good Unit. Geeky Test Results Here.
Unit seems to be good, with a few quirks. As others mentioned, color at night is pleasing, a little hard to read during the day. I went ahead and tested it with a power supply and a couple of meters, with a Samsung phone and a Samsung tablet connected to the device. Comments: At first I was surprised that my vehicles were reporting voltages as high as they were (old Toyota at 15.5V at 3000 RPM). With high voltages like this, the unit switches readings faster between amps and volts. Even a modern car was at 14.4V. Not out of spec but I expected more like 13.8. Test results: I started off at lower voltage to see what it would do. My test rig is pictured. Note that supply wires were not large, and I think I was getting some voltage drop even at lower current like 1A. Note that I did not measure output current, I only measured input volts and current, but the output cannot exceed the input V*A. At low supply voltages like 10V, the unit would turn on, try to supply current, run out of supply, and turn off current. This raises voltage again, and it tries again. Not unexpected at all. At 11.7V, these effects went away and the unit could supply a steady reported 2.73A (on the output side) to my 2 devices. Your car would be off and battery depleted at that point, so that is a good result. Some mentioned varying voltage readings and it measured that way too. The USB devices (phone, etc) control their own charge rate. They seem to be attempting to draw a ton of amps, this lowers the output voltage (guess, not measured), and the load devices then reduce their demand to bring the output voltage back up. Once back up, the units attempt to draw more, and the cycle repeats, with less than perfect feedback controlling it to a non-steady state, which is why you see some cycling in volts and amps. This is probably normal but I would think the devices would learn an optimum draw rate and attempt to hold that. The voltage was right on, whatever the display said was within 0.1V of true input voltage measured at the terminals, but it did vary by ± 0.3V or so as the cycling was happening. I think with larger wires on the input side I would have seen less of this. With 2 units being charged and both screens on, the max input power was 13.3W (14VDC at 0.95A). The charger reported 3.63A on the output side at that setting. 3.63*5V = 18.1W, which is definitely not happening (output power cannot be more than input power). So either the amp reading is correct, but the output was drawn down to 3.7V as more time is spent with the gate wide open to the battery (most likely), or the output voltage is really 5V and the current is overstated. I didn't attempt to connect to the output side, so I don't know which is correct. The current readings were more reasonable (within 10% of input power assuming 5V output) at lower charge rates. I ran the unit for hours in my car and noticed that it was barely warm, so its power conversion is quite efficient. USB charging can be pretty involved with few standards, so without more measurements, it's hard to say whether the current is correct, but it definitely followed the loads I was giving it. The charger was not enough to keep up with my Galaxy Tab S, but almost. It will drop maybe 10% during a long trip in bright sun with bright screen, even with big cables. But this is no different than my Anker charger, which I consider to be excellent. So the unit supplies at least as much as the Anker which is rated at 4.8A total, and it is a beast, so I suspect the charge circuitry on the tablet is just not up to the task of keeping the battery at 100% in bright sun with the screen on 100%, no matter what charger is used (the Anker and the Jebsens have done the best I have seen). Adding a phone to the mix made no difference to that result, so it is not a power supply problem. Overall, a good unit. Please comment if you measure and compare the output current.

Useful, attractive, versatile!
This is an excellent device, well-designed, aesthetically pleasing (clean, sharp) and accurate. It fits securely into my 12-v outlets and provides ample charging power to two cell phones simultaneously. Works very well in the car. When I used this charger with a 12-volt solar panel installation at a remote cabin, the Jebsen’s voltage reading exactly matched the voltage displayed on my solar panels’ high-quality charge controller. This device is versatile! I will be using this charger in a camper that runs the lights, fan, and water pump off a deep-cycle 12-volt AGM battery. In that camper application, the Jebsen’s charger will allow me to monitor the battery strength at the same time that I’m charging USB devices and recharging the AGM battery with a portable solar panel. Jebsen's offers great customer service, a full 1-year warranty and lifetime technical support (not that you’d need it—the device is simple and straightforward). Minor quibble: As others have noted, the screen is crisp but somewhat dim—not a serious problem, though. Bottom line: This is a terrific product at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.
