Gen Hotpoint Contitech 9PHE 1860 Tumble Dryer Belt

I got this for our hotpoint tvm570p tumble dryer. The old belt finally snapped after many years of service. We had been having issues with the drum bush getting worn through and it looked like the old belt was the cause. The belt arrives sealed in a plastic bag and has grooves on one side and smooth the other. I compared the code on the original and it is a match so it is a genuine part. This is a good quality belt. They are not easy to fit. To make it easier, grab a hair dryer and heat the belt a bit first, then fit the belt over the back drum spindle and motor shaft (as if you are going to fit it over the back of the drum) , then stretch part of the belt on to the drum. Use the hair dryer to heat the belt and make it easier to stretch, the slowly rotate the drum back and forth while prying onto the back of the drum, while keeping it on the motor spindle. It will look too small of a belt when you 1st look at it, but it has to be heated and stretched to fit properly. After a month of use the dryer has been working as it should, no noise, no slippage, and the bush at the back is not wearing out. Good quality and value, recommended. Thank you for reading my review. Perfect, fixed our tumble dryer whose belt snapped thanks to a bra underwire being caught in the fluff tray! Same great quality as from an official spares store. Tumble dryer is back to working again. Correct sizing so fit our model perfectly and good value, a lot cheaper than a new tumble dryer however not easy to install!
