Tesla Model 3 / Model Y Center Console Wrap - Carbon Fiber (Gen 1.0)

At first I ordered a wrap that was 1/3rd the price. I figured it's a few vinyl stickers, why is this one so much more expensive? Then the other wrap came in. It was poorly packaged and wasn't fully inside of the envelope when they closed it, so all of the pieces had a crease at the top and some had started coming off and were stuck to each other. Then I watched the install video for the other wrap. It was 45 minutes long and you have to use a razor to cut the pieces to fit. Watching that video I saw the install video for this wrap as a suggested video from youtube. It was only about 12 minutes so I watched it too. HUGE difference. The pieces in this kit are cut perfectly to fit. No razor needed. And it came with the wipes and a squeegee to help you install everything. I just put it on in a little under an hour, it wasn't too difficult and came out pretty well. I'm having trouble getting the sides to stick down very well but I suspect that they may have had some cleaning residue left on them that I didn't wipe off very well before installation so that's likely my fault. Overall everything looks great and I'm very happy with the wrap.

So, I don't just like this wrap solution for the piano black, overly glossy Tesla Model 3 center console - I LOVE it! I saw this wrap kit mentioned on 3 YouTube videos about modding Model 3's, and decided to check it out. These guys offer a super affordable, great-looking product that is not overly difficult to install. I'll admit - after I read a few reviews that said it was hard to install, I almost didn't get it, but I watched their installation video and decided to take a small chance. Once the product arrived, I watched the video once more, and went on to install the wraps without one single problem. My advice is to pay particular attention to the details they point out in the video, and to also LOOK AT THE INSTALLERS HAND POSITIONS when they are handling the wraps. Also, you'll want to have great lighting while installing so that you can see small bubbles and ensure proper alignment of the wrap pieces. I'm not the best with this sort of thing, and often get into awkward situations when applying stickers, decals, and things like that, but this wrap set was very straightforward, and really is of great quality. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants a sleek, attractive change to their Model 3 center console appearance. So glad I saw it on YouTube in several videos! EVWraps was also very responsive when I emailed them with a simple question. Very professional - I shall be using them when we get our Model Y (hopefully) next year, too. I have to start by saying that I have never done this before. I have done a few screen protectors for me and family, but that's it. I was very worried about ruining the new Tesla. The wrap was cut for an exact fit. I started with the little piece that sits below the phone. I probably had to remove that one half way through like 3 times. Then I worked on the middle piece thinking that it was probably the easiest part of the install. It took some time, but I was able to practice and build more confidence. The cup piece was the most difficult. I had to remove it once cause I did not align the sides correctly, and I was only paying attention to the cup wholes. The front piece felt easy after doing the other pieces. I spent a little over an hour. I did have a minor bump, but I was able to fix it with a hair dryer at the end. It does look very nice once installed.

This wrap is a nice Carbon Fiber, cut to fit perfectly, and after a few hours of careful work it was not too difficult to install and looked great, I thought it was a pretty decent job, came back a few hours later, the the whole thing covered in bubbles, you really have to squeegee those bubbles out, and there is no way to tell if you have done it correctly till it sits in some heat for a little bit. Anyway after hunting around on forums I found a fix, a tiny pin/needle to create very small holes where the bubbles are, seems to fix it very well, the holes are not visible and I think the vinyl wrap, because it is soft, kinda self heals around them, at first i can see tiny holes then they disappear. Had to use my finger nail to tuck the wrap under the cup holders, be prepared to work to get this to fit, but it's really easier than a tablet screen cover, which I've found very hard to install without any bubbles, but there are many fiddly parts to it.

I was hesitant to buy this after reading the reviews and being afraid of screwing it up. However after 30 min in the car of taking my time, and watching the YouTube video as I went, I was THRILLED with the installation. I thought it was going to be a decent alternative, but to my delight, it ended up being nearly impossible to tell it wasn’t original. I’d buy this again in a heartbeat. Great quality and even better video instructions. Not to mention, if you mess up terribly (which I found hard to do) they’ll send you a replacement piece for free. With all of that said, this is not a product that you’ll install in a couple seconds. It works and looks great, but only if you take you time
