The lights work great and perfectly lights up the plate underneath. Compared to the outdated original , these are way better and directional allowing for a crisscross lighting pattern.

Good solution for license plate lights
These lights were fairly simple to install if you know anything about wiring. They don't come with instructions, so be warned. They are bright enough where even though one of them burned out on me after one month of riding, the other remaining light is bright enough to keep me legal. They way I mounted mine these lights replaced my top plate mounting screws, so if I need to take my plate off I need to remove the lights as well, not ideal but not a big deal either - how often do you take your plate off? For the money they are really decent - I am a little disappointed one burned out so quickly but for the price I knew it was a possibility. When the other one goes I will probably buy these again, just because the install looks so clean. Actually come to think of it I should order a spare set now to have on hand...
