I read the reviews before purchasing, in my case had good luck with the quality of the construction. That being said, the material used is similar to pine, not balsa wood, and there is enough thickness to be a sound enclosure. I do agree with other reviews that criticize how challenging it is to remove the protective covering of the clear plastic piece in the lid. Be prepared to exercise your patience in this process, and helpful tools I had were a forceps, and a couple different dental picks. I also carefully removed the lid, to make it easier to work on with the removal of the covering, kind of a pain, but depending on your skill level shouldn’t be an issue. It probably would be better if the lid had glass instead of plastic, but maybe would be more difficult to ship without breaking. In the end, the project looks great, and the box should last a lifetime.

This is the perfect size to make a display box for 1/12 scale dolls. I turned mine into a doll room display box. While I still have more details it is looking good so far. This box was also cheaper than buying a shadow box meant for displaying dolls. It is a wood box that can be painted or stained to your needs I plan on staining the outside of mine once my project is completed. My plan is to purchase a few more to stack them up so I can create rooms for my favorite holidays.

Simple but pretty jewelry display box for arts&crafts personalization. May need to disassemble if you want to do a good paint job, but it's hekd together with small screws so it's easy to reassemble. Glass window is not removable, so expect to use masking tape.

Beautifully made, unfinished wooden box. It's great that you can put anything in it and see what is in the box and you can paint the box any color.

Nice box. Perfect for my little project! Nice way to dress up a Christmas gift of booze. Added the sticker and little hammer for a laugh.

Disappointed. The box came on time and is as described but the quality of the wood is very poor and the “glass” does not fit snugly in the lid. I felt I could not give this as a gift as intended. Poor value for money in my opinion. .
