Changing my 1 star review to a 5 star because not only is the vacuum amazing, but so is the customer service! I reached out regarding the issue(see below) and customer support immediately responded. I sent over proof of my purchase and the pictures like they asked and they emailed back right away and told me to send the vacuum back with the shipping label they provided and they'd send me a new one. I sent it back and within a week I had a brand new model delivered. It works amazing. I have 3 kids, a dog, and 2 cats. I am having knee surgery which will have me non weight bearing for 6 weeks, so it was imperative to have a vacuum that would be able to keep up with the floors while I am unable to. The suction is phenomenal, it goes around any obstacles, and I love that it has the 3d map right on your phone. I would highly recommend this company and vacuum! I have not used this product yet, but I am giving it 1 star because it was just delivered 20min ago and when I opened the vacuum and turned it over there's dirt and hair all over the bottom and white scuff marks on the side. It's clearly refurbished and I paid for a brand new one. Extremely disappointed as I am having knee surgery and this was going to be a huge tool in helping me keep my floors clean since I won't be able to get around.

I have read multiple robot vacuum reviews and watched countless comparison videos. This is my 3rd robot vac in 6 years. The cleaning area is a mix of tile, luxury vinyl flooring, one low pile area rug, and multiple bathroom rugs. For everyone who bought the Q5, Q5+ you should have bought the Q5 DuoRoller+. We got it on sale for 50% the list price which was a deal!!!! It was packed solidly in the boxes, set up was a breeze with the quick sheet instructions, and voice prompts! After a week of use, we are very impressed with this Roborock Q5 DuoRoller+ Robot Vacuum with Self-Empty Dock compared to the other robots that we have had. • It is very quiet compared to what we are used to. • The app is phenomenal, you can see were it cleaned and where it is in live action. • It cleans the entire house 1,593 sq ft in 2 hours 24 minutes instead of 1,243 sq ft in 4 hours 25 minutes and it does not miss anything or get stuck. • Room lights do not have to be left on for it see what it is doing. • The automatic empty is completed automatically after every cleaning and the dust bin does not have anything in it, not even dust. • It picks up cat litter and pet hair compared to what we are used to. • We no longer have to pick up all of the bathroom rugs as it knows how to go over them without getting stuck. • It’s refreshing to not have every job canceled before it is completed. Previous robots: • #1 Roomba 960, was replaced after 4 years because it has to be the dumbest robot on the planet. Constantly gets stuck, took hours to clean in its drunken pattern, and still missed stuff. It really enjoys being stuck under the corners of furniture. I moved it to a bonus room and it still gets stuck. • #2 Roomba i8+ (self-emptying), was replaced after 1 year because it was damaged while we were out of town, it was on a schedule and it got into something. But this guy always had challenges with staying connected to the wi-fi, returning to the dock, charging itself, it was very loud, did an okay job cleaning, had to set up multiple boundaries because it also liked being stuck under corners of furniture. Fortunately it had an accident that gave me the opportunity to try the Roborock Q5 DuoRoller+ Robot Vacuum with Self-Empty Dock.

The Roborock Q8 Max+ has genuinely been a game changer for me and my family — especially for my mother. This is our first-ever robot vacuum, and the difference it has made is crazy. It’s one of those things you don’t realize you needed until you finally have it. 🧠 Smart, Easy, and Surprisingly Efficient: The mapping software is incredibly intelligent — it mapped our townhouse quickly and accurately. Day-to-day use is super simple — even my mom, who’s not super tech-savvy, finds it easy to operate. On the default suction setting (just below max), it’s able to clean the entire house in one go — no recharge needed. The self-emptying dock is a dream. We go weeks without having to touch it. 🧼 Mopping — Good, But Has a Caveat: The mopping feature is definitely cool, but you’ll want to order extra mop pads. Using just the included one, without frequent cleaning, can leave streaks — especially without a cleaning solution. So while the feature works, I'd dock 1 star purely for the inconvenience of not having enough mop pads out of the box. 🐈 Pet-Friendly & Approved by the Cats: Our cats were a little scared of it at first, but after a couple of weeks, they adjusted. Now they just curiously watch it work. 💰 Price & Buying Tip: Yes, it’s a bit pricey at full value, but it does go on sale often. I personally watched it for a month and saw the price dip below even the Amazon Warehouse deal at one point. Tip: If you're considering it, wait for a sale or check Amazon Warehouse — worth it for the savings. 🧓 Most Important Review — From Mom: She uses it daily and swears by it. That alone should tell you how convenient it is. ✅ Final Verdict: If you’ve never owned a robot vacuum before — this is a solid one to start with. It cleans well, navigates smartly, and adds real ease to daily life. Just grab extra mop pads, and you’re set. ⭐ Rating: 4.5/5 (Realistically 4/5 due to the mop pad situation, but everything else makes up for it)

I’ve been through every Robovac since they were released. The Roborock S5 has been our longest lasting of them all, so I decided to ease into the self-emptying vacs with the price of the Q8 Max. With my wife’s 5 dogs, we’re trying to keep the hair & dust reduced with continuous vacuuming of our 3/4” white oak floors. So far I’m amazed. Since I ordered it last week we have been running our 5 other vacs from of various ages and brands as much as possible as well as sweeping & mopping the floors daily. During initial charging and setup, 3 different robovacs were run until dead but emptied every 10 minutes. The Q8 Max quickly mapped the house, then ran a Turbo cycle through most of the house. I’m embarrassed to say what it picked up but it was a lot. I terminated its cleaning after a while and it found the dock easily and emptied itself well. Tomorrow will be more vacuuming and eventually some mopping. I’m sure some others have shortcomings and benefits, but after a trial run I am SO happy with the extremely good results. I will update. UPDATE: After 6+ weeks running 14+ scheduled cycles per week, zero hang ups, zero problems, clean floors! The large 2.5L bags are great for larger homes as the regular 1L bag lasted ~2 weeks with the dirt & hair from 5 dogs, a 17 year old plus his endless stream of friends in a 4400 sqft house. I just ordered another Q8Max+ and a Q Revo, plus a Q8Max+ for our daughter as a gift. We have 4400sqft of space we frequent, plus a sunken game room, bathroom, and hallway we don’t use often. I ordered another because I’d feel crazy if I didn’t get more after the price drop as pleased as I am with the initial unit. During the work week the Q8Max+ vacuums and sometimes dry mops from 7am-1pm. I may be wrong but I think this and most other units I have owned do best on dog hair by doing its initial pass on Balanced (low) or Turbo (medium) power vacuum setting, then a final pass on Max. So it runs this cycle during the week: double pass on balanced, charge and empty. Double pass on Max, charge and empty all while we’re at work. On weekends it runs all night everywhere but bedrooms and never wakes us. We use the mop as needed, which works better than expected with the Roborock cleaning solution. I ordered the Q Revo for its mopping function which REALLY works with the spinning microfiber heads. After the Q8Max+ units dry vacuum everything in the morning, the Q Revo runs on medium vac with the highest mopping settings. The floors have never been more clean after a week, but it’s overkill TBH. Just the Q8Max+ is plenty. I’m a nerdy, clean freak dentist who loves gadgets. I got the Q Revo to test for my dental office. I am going to build an army of Roborocks to vacuum, mop & disinfect the floors during lunch but I can’t decide which units I will use…
