Original 2 star review:I would have given this 5 stars...BUT....critical to mounting these tracks is a plastic piece held by a single screw. Can you imagine? They sent screws that slip right through the hole it is supposed secure!! Totally useless screws. Now I had to find my own screws, that not only didn't slip through the hole, but the head had to be flat enough that you could still fit the track into the plastic piece for it to engage and hold in place.This was a major pain in the neck. Hey, maybe I should give in only one star?Follow up: 8/25/2016 amended to read 5 stars.....Having been contacted by the vendor, they are going out of their way to remedy the warehouse mixup. And in appreciation of my pointing out the issue that are making more than adequate compensation. Kudos go to this concerned vendor, and I would purchase from them again.

I like this item, using it for my kitchen undercounter lighting. The only problem is the LED lights I used are not being diffused enough, so you can still see the individual LED light reflections on the countertop reflection. That was the main reason I bought these.The pros of this are it was easy to cut with a hack saw for the aluminium and the plastic covers could be cut with just wire cutters and snapped.Haven't finished the project yet, will update with final results than.Update, its been installed for several weeks and pretty good still:I recently added under cabinet lighting to my kitchen counters. It looks fantastic once completed. I have a very large kitchen, around 25 feet or more and was able to wire the whole thing up for under $100. Without the diffusion rods, could've done it for under ~$30.I have a custom built house so I had the builder install electrical outlets above the top kitchen cabinets, this way I can plug in the adapters and it can't be seen from below.The most basic materials needed is1. a plug in adapter to provide the 12V of power that plugs into the wall,2. the wire for getting the 12V power from the adapter to the LED lights, the LED light strips,3. and solderless connectors for hooking things up (this was a big headache).When I was installed the LED string lights I noticed the lights were glaring off my silestone countertops so I added a diffusion rod to diffuse the light, and the aluminum rod it came in made moving around the lights a lot easier during installation. Allows you to easily move the lights around, etc. I wish it was cheaper, it basically cost as much as everything else in the project combined, but luckily one order was enough for the whole kitchen and I even ended up with some spare material. Its easy to cut, I was able to use a hacksaw for the aluminum, and scissors/wire stripppers for the diffusion covers. There is a similar seller selling a product almost the same as these but there is a difference. The mounting clips are metal where this companies are plastic which are fine for certain applications, but the metal clips leave enough space for a headed self tapping screw which when installing these strips under a car chassis which I use them for. This kit has has flush mount wood screws which are fine for inside applications unless you want to drill a hole first in metal then use flush mount screws included with plastic mounting clips. But the product is a great clean way to lay led strips down in a neat organixed clean dry mounting track.

Excellent product for under cabinet lighting, I recently installed about 18 feet using LED strip lighting, using 7 strips total. The aluminum channels are easy to work with and the diffusers are easily installed and removed as well. The LED adhesive tape bonds very strongly to the aluminum channel (give it a wipe with alcohol first), and the aluminum provides a bit of a heat sink for the LEDs which should give them a longer life. The plastic clips are quite adequate to hold the strips underneath the cabinets. However, if you are installing a complex kitchen or some other arrangement, you will probably need more of the mounting clips. The seller provides two clips per 1-meter channel, which is a bit inadequate, I would recommend at least three clips mounted about one every 12-18 inches or so. Likewise, if you are cutting strips into shorter lengths you'll need more of the end-caps. What a great idea - I had been looking for under cabinet lighting lights. Some really good looking ones out there, but nice ones seem quite pricey. With the availability of reasonably priced LED strips, these aluminum extrusions filled the bill perfectly.Extrusions are light weight and well finished. Easily cut for custom lengths. Look very good and very unobtrusive. Included Plastic lens and end caps allow a good looking finished light.Only downside is (are?) the screws included to hold the extrusion clips. They are probably longer than necessary, and definitely thinner with smaller heads than optimum - I managed to have several go right thru the clip holes. I subbed slightly larger (#6 flat head) and all was well.

This was a fun day project. I used a Dremel Saw Max with the metal cut blade for cleaner cuts (careful not to scratch the black). Tip for people installing these. Face the light inwards so the wide black is facing out. This will make bending the lights around corners much easier!Carefully cut the plastic coating off of the hue lights and carefully place them inside and they will fit great. Even with these the hue lights are very bright, but easy enough to turn down with the app.

This is what set my under cabinet lighting project apart from the others. I just purchased a new home and installed LED tape lighting in the LightingWill aluminum channels and now even the builder is showing off what I did to their tradesmen...

Neat simple carrier for LED lighting strips.

Really nice extrusion. It includes clips that make installing it really easy and then the diffuser clips straight in. It's a very frosty diffuser which is what I was looking for.
