The tools seam fine but the latches on the case came open during shipping and they came loose damaging other products in the same package. Was extremely hard to sort what went where and get them to snap in place in the case and close it.

This is one smart gardening case! You can spend time gathering different tools from different locations, or purchasing individual tools from one store, but with this excellent kit, you get everything you need in one easy to use and easy to store, custom case! Are the tools top line? No, but they are darn good! Take the shears, for example. I have seen garden shears go for close to $100.00 - an astounding price! And yes, they do have some interesting features, but do they cut any better than the pair of shears that Grenebo have provided in the kit? No, not really. The Grenebo shears are remarkable sharp, have excellent movement, a great shape and texture for your hands, and a positive, easy to use locking mechanism. In fact, some high end shears - when locked - still allow a small portion of the blade to be exposed. These do not have such an issue. A great pair of shears! The rest of the kit, is similar in the attention to detail. Again, for example, there are three small garden tools that are great for working small, indoor plants in pots. A couple of small shovels and a tiny rake. All three have a wooden shaft attached. However, not only are the metal ends attached to the wood shafts well, each also has a single nail through the metal "business end" and into the shaft. The purpose? To help keep the metal tool part attached to the shaft and also to prevent the metal part from twisting around. Small designs that show attention to detail! The large hand tools are similar. Thick steel blades with solid wooden handles. And all of these larger tools, have through holes for lanyards or to hang up, if you like. Smart ideas! There are wonderful, summer motifs, painted on all the steel blades of the various tools, save the shears. It will certainly help in keeping the steel free from rust. Even a small water bottle for misting plants, is included in the case. The gardening gloves are good, too. Elastic cuffs keep the gloves on, and the palms and back of fingers and thumb, are covered in dozens and dozens of tiny silicone dots. These provide excellent grip on tools or plants. The injection moulded case is decent. On our kit, only one tool does not like it's position, and I believe a few small dots from a hot glue gun, will solve that issue. The case holds all the tools with ease. It also has two hinges - one on either side - that are actual hinges, and not just a fold in the plastic mould. This case is going to last! Bottom Line - A good, working case of the most common hand tools for the garden, that you will need. It will help keep your organized and that means a better time in the garden!

This is a great garden tool set for anyone who enjoys gardening. It provides all the tools a typical gardener usually uses. All wooden handle tools have the metal coated in a smooth durable finish. It feels like a hard plastic coating. I could not remove the coating, it looked to be baked in. This smooth coating keeps dirt off and your tools clean. It's easily cleaned with water. The wooden handles are sanded smooth with a light shellac-type coating. There is no fear of getting splinters from the wooden handle. The metal portions of the tools are strongly fastened to the wooden handle. The larger tools (weeder, transplanter, trowel, cultivator, hand rake ) have the metal tools glued into the handle, while the small rake, trowel, and transplanter have the metal sections nailed to the handle. After a few hours of digging and cultivating the soil using the larger tools, the handles were still solidly connected. The kit comes with a plastic case and keeps all the tools together. The case came in a purple colour and is a lovely match with the pink flowered tools. The different garden tools each have their own place in the case. It's nicely organized. The gardening tools are frictionally locked into place within the case. They do not become dislodged during transport. I like that I don't have to make multiple trips back to the shed for the individual tools. I can bring my complete set of gardening tools with me. Quick takes on the various items: - I had the smaller trowel immensed in water for 24 hours. I did not see any formation of rust. The trowel looked just like new (and a little wet). - The smaller set (weeder, transplanter, and trowel) are not very useful. They're too small to be really useful. The weeder is not very strong. I can bend the weeder with my hand. - The larger trowel is engraved with an centimetre scale. I use this to measure the depth of the soil. - The larger weeder does a good job removing dandelions. It has a spoon shaped attachment that provides leverage for removing those stubborn dandelions. - The larger cultivator has 3 strong pointed prongs. The prongs penetrate deeply into the soil and help to loosen it. - The pink/black handles of the shears match the pink garden tools. The blades are very sharp. They easily cut through twigs and floral stems. - The spray bottle is also pink and black. The spray is fully adjustable. I can set a fine mist or a jet spray. - The gloves are very pretty. They have the floral motif of the garden tools. They're your typical garden gloves but with pink rubber dots. - If you're not sure what the individual garden tools are used for, a tool guide book is included.
