This is an update to my earlier review. The phone is beautiful and it works.Originally, I had the place where the receiver goes secured down (it is meant to be flexible so that when you place the receiver on the phone it then goes down). I had planned on returning the phone tomorrow but since I discovered subsequently that it works, will not return it. I have herewith updated my review to 4 stars from 1. The only reason I have not given it 5 stars is because there is no place on the phone to set the date, time or caller ID and the instructions are not sufficient for that part. Also the ringer sounds like an old fashion phone. I love it.

The phone looks amazing. The detail is top notch and not only is it aesthetically pleasing but it's also fully functional. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because the rotary dial part of the phone was hanging by the wiring. I just used some gorilla glue and that did the trick.

Very sturdy and well made. Wish there was a volume control for the ring, it's very loud! I taped a small piece of cardboard under the phone over the speaker and it lowered the volume enough not to scare everyone in the house every time it rang.

It works, but the cradle that holds the hand-set twists around almost 90 degrees. I've tried and cannot fix the problem but the looks are great.

Made of decent quality materials, provides great sound quality and even offers speaker phone. Looks so good in my house... until you get up close and see that it's got tacky Chinese writing on it. Not quite worth the money, it shipped slowly, got lost in the mail and was over priced.

The ringtone is awful! The phone looks great but the ring is a high shrill sound. Nothing like a vintage phone sound or any land line phone sound. Very dissapointed.

Very impressed with item. Looks even better than picture. It's solid. Nice and heavy. Took about a week to come in. If you want a vintage look totally worth buying.

So cute! Looks so great in my store. People ask me if it works all of the time because it looks so authentically antique. There are some plastic parts in the handle so don't expect it to be terribly durable but the base is heavy, it's perfect for the price and works great!

Nice looking phone however the ring isn't in keeping as it sounds like an 80's trim phone which was disappointing.

good for the price, it `s functional sounds OK I think if it was used regularly the first part to fail would be the receiver rest but for occasional use it`s okay ,a thing like this is mainly a working ornament that`s what I purchased it for;;thanks Marion

Although i waited a few weeks for delivery, it was worth it. This phone is stunning, easy to assemble and very good quality. I love it!!!!
