Great microscope.
For the money this is hands down a great digital microscope. We got the model with the metal stage, and I recommend that. The image is clear and there are lots of lighting options and an iris for the bottom light. The app is useful only for being able to have the image on an iPad for classroom use. There’s nothing really wrong either the app, it just doesn’t give you much other than a second screen and you could take photos and videos with it directly to your device, which is nice, but not a game changer. The microscope is well built and optics are good quality. Screen has good resolution. Comes with an HDMI cable to connect to a monitor if desired. Case is well made and everything fits. Just make sure to turn the lenses so that the highest mag lens is in position before sliding it into the case, otherwise it will run into the case cutout. Manual is fairly good, could be improved, but it does have reasonably good step-by-step instructions. All in all, I’m very happy with it.

Works but has two major flaws
So I bought this for a way to picture parasite ova with scale markers for identification purposes. This doesn't require high magnification. A couple big flaws for my purposes. 1) the ad is misleading. if you take a picture with the scale markers on, the scale won't show up in the copy of the picture. It's an overlay on the screen not part of the screen itself. So the only way to get both at the same time is to use your phone camera to take a picture of its screen, which will come out blurry, and then you have to try to keep track of which you were picturing across two devices. Very inconvenient. 2) you have to manually add and change the scale markers between each lens, this is not automatic, and it's several steps to do. Makes things take so long. If you don't change it every time you switch lenses youll be seeing the wrong scale and come to wrong size. It also requires you to do some math to figure out the true number of the size, and there's no unit listed anywhere. I assume it's ūm, but I already know microscopes. Less trained individuals would be like, "Ok so it's 20, but 20 what?" There is zero information on this in the manual. Not very user friendly for something that's supposed to be educational. Very frustrating. 2) there are just 3 magnifications on this. How it works is you can see the magnification from the lens and then it just digitally zooms in from there until you're at the next lens' magnification with increasingly worsening picture quality. So basically this is three magnifications with zoomable pictures. It works but it's not ideal. I love that I'm not hunched over or straining my eyes to see what's going on. it's metal and heavy enough to not be shaking around, and the knobs are smooth but those functions are not enough to really justify the price for me given that it's really just 3 magnifications with a camera. Not when there are much cheaper options that are not as clunky and can perform much better magnification... Over all.. it's meh.

well made perform well at seeing even sub micron features.
works very well and is earay to use. Also it is solidly built and should hold up to use by any reasonably careful child or adult.
