Works great!
I've had this for a while now and I've been very happy with the camera. It's angle is perfect for my truck allowing me to see behind and down which is great for lining up hitches, seeing where to stop when backing up, and obstacles in the way of backing up. I have yet to see this camera fail on me. It's quality is good enough for my need, and the reference lines are decent enough to line yourself up with parking spots. Instal was easy, although I am mechanically inclined. I wired it up so it turns on when I go in reverse.

Installed on my 2007 Ford F150 FX4 - Aftermarket Panasonic Stereo
Easy Install on the tailgate but running the cable through the frame rails took a little patience. No real problem, just tedious. Fairly easy hook up to the stereo but I'm glad I had a previous camera which made it easy to hook up to the reverse wiring. Configured my stereo to the camera and it worked just fine. Camera works great in daylight with an awesome picture and it also works pretty good at night but I do have extra lights when backing up.

Highly recommend
Easy installation, excellent fit, good camera for the price. Easy to wire. Will buy one for my 2 truck.

Easy To install
This receives a 4 Star rating because, it was super easy to install and works great with the aftermarket radio I installed but does not have the greatest quality of camera for backing up at night but is decent during the day.

Fit, looks, and works perfectly.
This handle was very easy to install on my 2008 F150. I had plenty of cable to follow the factory wire harness along the driver frame rail. I came up through the cab by the parking brake cable, through the kick plate and over to radio. I hooked this to a Kenwood unit and it has a nice area of view and is very clear. This setup is so much more clear than the OEM camera in my 22 F150 that’s it’s crazy. Only complaint I have is the directions are extremely poor and written in “Chinenglish” The handle has 2 extra wires that the harness doesn’t have the mate to and you might as well forget customer service. Over a week and they havnt replied to my email. I just ignored the extra wires and it worlds fine, so I’ll call it a win.

Disappointing Image Quality – Pixelated and Practically Useless
I bought the RED WOLF Tailgate Handle with Reverse Backup Camera Replacement for my 2010 Ford F150 hoping it would be a solid OEM-style upgrade. Installation wasn’t too bad and the fit was decent, but the main purpose of a backup camera is to see what’s behind you—and that’s where this product fails completely. The camera image is extremely low resolution. Everything looks pixelated, washed out, and blurry, even in decent lighting conditions. At night, forget about it—you’re better off using your mirrors or just guessing. It's almost like viewing an old VHS tape on a modern screen. For a product that's supposed to increase safety and visibility, this one actually reduces confidence when backing up. I expected at least a usable image, but this feels like a downgrade from even a decade-old stock camera. Unless you're just looking for a handle and don’t care about video quality at all, I’d skip this one and look for a better camera with decent resolution.

Good value
Used on. 2013 F150 and TopDisplay stereo. The install did not take too long and was plug and play. Camera is good quality and decent angle. Wire was long enough. No current complaints.

Easy install, Camera angle is wrong and yes, that’s a big deal
Updated from 5 stars to 3 because the camera angle isn't even low enough to see my hitch. That was basically the point for me. I suppose it still helps, but I still have to jump in and out to adjust when connecting to a trailer. Truck is not even lifted with a drop hitch, but stock height with a straight triple-ball hitch in it. The best case scenario to see it with the camera. Only towed once with this camera so far so maybe I’ll learn a workaround. I tow many different trailers in different locations so it’s not as easy as just learning the references for one. If the camera was aimed down just a few degrees more, it would have been perfect. Not sure what OEM was like because this truck didn’t have a camera, but I have backup cameras on a few other trucks (some OEM), and you can see the hitch on all of them… Not a very big thing, but from a usability standpoint, with absolutely no way to adjust it, it really is a big thing. My latch was in perfect shape, but I added a new stereo with a touchscreen to my 2011 f150 and wanted a backup camera. License plate mounted cameras are just not nearly as useful as the higher options like this. Included enough cable to run through my crew cab 6.5’ bed truck, routing the proper way. Running the wire through the firewall and the camera wire through the tailgate was the hardest part. We’ll see how long the wire lasts with bending around the bottom of the tailgate constantly. I just wrapped the cable with duct tape as protection. Good quality image. Finish is not very good, though. Sharp manufacturing ridges on the handle that cut into your hand. Easy to polish up with a utility knife. Certainly not OEM quality, but 100% happy for the price if it lasts a while. Wire size is very very tiny. Not much is needed for this, but still… I had a chrome handle, but I’ve been blacking out the truck slowly anyway so this is great!

2005 F150. I ran this into an older Kenwood deck I had. Installation was a breeze. The picture quality is amazing, especially at night. I had a license plate one before and it was terrible because the license plate lights distort the camera at night. This one gives you a higher view from the latch position. The latch works as good as the original. Had it over a year now and still great. The backup lines also are a nice touch.
