Echo Split 1x2 HDMI Splitter

Great product! Splits my Onn 4k streaming box signal to 4K projector and 1080 receiver. Had to turn off #2 dip switch so the projector would "find" the signal ... directions are a little lacking, but a it's lot better than buying a 4K receiver.

Doesn't work as product description states... DirectTV to TV directly works in 4k but run thru splitter and it drops to 1080p.

Good little HDMI splitter to keep on hand in my supply of adapters. Always good to have a splitter on hand. Recommended.

I have a 4K in the living room, but wanted to split the signal from the cable box to another TV. Most splitters just set the resolution to the lowest device. The EchoSplit keeps the 4K signal on one port and sets 1080 on the second. The device is small and takes up very little space in my media cabinet. I did contact Sewell with a question on how the device operated and they answered it very quickly. I have used Sewell equipment in the past and they provide quality equipment with great support.

Keeping this one short and sweet because I didn't test much. But signal drops every so often, making using this somewhat spotty.

UPDATE: Sewell reached out and asked for specifics regarding my review. I appreciate the follow up. I have a VIZIO P702UI-B3 model TV. I have a Denon AVR-X1100W receiver. I have an Nvidia SHIELD going into the Denon and coming out to the splitter. The SHIELD produces a 4k signal, which I want to see on my 4k TV. The second port was connected to an HDMI to composite adapter, which fed into a USB capture device plugged into a Raspberry Pi which powers some LEDs wrapped around my TV. A previous HDMI splitter I've used for 3 years (it failed, which prompted this purchase) reduced the signal to 1080p and send it to both outputs fine. I wanted my 4k picture on the TV but 1080p going to the adapter, because it can't receive a 4k signal. I don't know the exactly order I had to power things up and plug them in to get it to work. What I am looking for is something I can turn on which will send 4k down one output and 1080p down the other. This doesn't do that, although the description markets it as such, which is why I returned it. I have purchased other Sewell Direct products and had great experiences. Good company, good products. Similar experience to other reviewer. I purchased for the scenario described. I need a 4k feed to go 4k to my TV but 1080p to a secondary display. It doesn't work unless you plug things in in a certain order and power them up in a certain order. In 10 tries, I got it to negotiate the resolution correctly once. Every other time both displays would go 720p or one would do 4k and send nothing to the other, etc. No good.

Easy installation. Works as advertised...arrived on time.

I have a newer TV and older receiver. This splitter allows me to send the signal from my Nvidia shield in 4K to my TV, and Dolby Digital audio to my receiver, both by HDMI. Lesser splitters dumb both outputs to the lowest capacity input, and prior to this, that meant the 1080p signal that my receiver could handle at maximum. Thank you Sewell, great product!
