This thing is crazy loud.. I gave it all 5 stars but I do have a few complaints It NEVER turns off.. the volume knob clicks off.. but the megaphone still works. maybe mine is defective. IDK. I just take out the batteries when it's not in use Also the siren is really easy to hit on accident. The battery "door" backend. whatever its called, came off. the pin must have come out of the hinge. I used a heavy duty paperclip to put it back together. It doesn't really deserve 5 stars. I'm just glad that I got it and its loud.

Excellent, although only two things I would change would be: 1. the location of the siren button is too close to the carrying handle and makes it very, very easy to accidentally turn on the siren when either reaching for it or just carrying it around. 2. The activation button on the microphone does not go up and down distinctly and often gets stuck in the down (on) position with it being very difficult to jiggle a bit to make it pop back up. Can then deplete batteries very quickly. Loudness is great however and is pretty durable relative to many other megaphones on the market, which are the biggest things I was looking for.

I volunteer at an airsoft field in Dayton, Maine. We bought our first ThunderPower 1200 via Amazon in August of 2013 to add sound effects to our conflict-simulation events. The players loved it so much that we bought a second one in April of 2014. To this day, both megaphones are as loud as ever when we use them during our major operations. Loves to use lots of batteries and use them up. Not easy for folks to hear. heavy.

I bought one of these brand new awhile back from this seller. The siren volume dial never changes volume level, it is just loud, great for scaring off approaching bear, threatening animals, etc... The mic volume works with static as you change it or move the mic button while talking and please be careful of feedback, woah... be careful. I hooked my cell phone up to the microphone auxiliary jack and it plays music very loud without static, I also chained speakers together with wire jacks plugged into speaker mic outlets for a chain stereo sound reaction, this is very cool with not much base, but high quality long distance sound, I could see people blocks away reacting to where the sound was coming from, it was cool to get their attention, it works for karaoke, sing while your song plays, amplifying your voice and the music volume equally, static appears while pressing mic button the wrong way. I woke my neighbors up talking with it on high and one of them told me he thought it was God talking to him. It definitely gets peoples attention if this is what your after. The quality is less than desirable, it doesn't last long enough for me to buy another one since I never used it much that it should have quit working without much total use. This quit working using batteries, then it quit working being plugged in, it was not a blown fuse causing it to stop working. I ordered another one while it worked and decided to refuse shipping on it after it quit working all together before it arrived. If it was 100 dollars okay but not close to 300 no. It is somewhat cheap quality design that NEEDS REVAMPING.

I'm not sure if my expectations were higher or if this is just what a "LOUD" megaphone is. It is loud when using the siren but when using the microphone it seems it could be louder. Could be that any louder in this form factor may cause distortion but overall it is a solid performer for the price.

Wear Ear Plugs... WOW!! This Is Loud!! (12 Volt car plug adapter uses 3 amp fuses,comes with only 1-auto parts has them) If There Is Another Megaphone That Is Louder I Do Not Understand Why You Would Need It. This Wakes Up The Neighborhood, Scares People, It Definitely Gets Attention!! I Use It To Get Neighbors To Turn There Stereos Down - Put There Fires Out, I Can Also Plug My Guitar & Play... It Also Comes With Mini Jack Adapter Plug For Smaller Line Jack Sources. I Use My Android To Play Music With It. I Plug My Weather Band Radio Into It, I Did Not Let The Negative Feedback Steer Me Away, There Are Way More Positive. I Am Happy I Have This THUNDERPOWER 1200 I Plan On Using It To Deter Black Bear In The Forest If They Get To Close. I Will Be Showing It Off Plugged Into My 12 Volt Plug On My Grizzly ATV During The 4th of July Parade. HAVE FUN!!!

I have just received this megaphone and I am very disappointed. For such a price I expect to be granted a brand new item, not a megaphone that is clearly used (with both the interior and exterior packaging showing clear signs of wear). I would like to return this item.
