RSVP International MDB-1IN 1-quart Induction Double Boiler, Multi Color

A wonderful product - not too big and not too small. I use it for melting butter and also chocolate. It is also easy to clean. Worth the money and so happy that I bought it 😁

Unlike other double boiler products I used, this one is heavier duty and works well on induction.

2 cup capacity. 18/8 stainless. (Don't really knows what that means, perhaps the thickness and quality..but i don't have time to look it up right now) It is a nice thickness of metal, and it has NOT rusted in anyway. I mention this because i have had some things labeled "stainless" that did rust some! This is a nicely made/polished stainless double boiler. Sits easily on top of a small 1 Qt. pan. Handle and stainless loop at top along with the pour spouts help to stabilize it. Handle is riveted well on the outside. Inside is totally seamless and so it's really easy to clean well. It doesn't sit on the counter on it's own, but it's not really made for that anyway. Have used it several times this year, and it's a great asset to my other kitchen tools. Superb for melting butter, chocolate etc. or even making small batches of lotions or herbal oils etc.

Love this little guy! I’ve given up microwaving, so as long as I think ahead, thaws and heats up my single serving frozen meals perfectly! Would absolutely melt chocolate if I wanted it to!

I have yet to actually use this double boiler but right away I noticed it was nice quality. It was sturdy stainless steel, I really loved the spouts on it to pour. However, I am a bit disappointed with the size. It was a bit smaller than I was expecting. I suppose for what I am doing it will be fine, and actually better. But I feel that this post is at least a little misleading. I noticed just now it does say 2 cups max in an answer, but without that, the picture made it look a bit bigger and it didn't really put out there the size. I wish it were in the title, as then you couldn't miss it. Other than size, this 2 cup double boiler is quite nice. It has a sturdy steel handle(which bare in mind, helps to keep the boiler out of water so it will get hot from steam!), spouts on each side, and a hook which keeps it out of the water. I will have to use a normal size pan because my smaller ones are entirely too short. Perhaps it could have been larger in radius and a bit shorter? Ah, well, a quality double boiler, but a bit small for me.

As the expression goes "the best thing since sliced bread". For melting butter or making simple syrup you can't go wrong with this handy Double Boiler. I used to use a small sauce pot setting inside of a larger one for years, this method worked well but this product has two spouts to pour from "especially good for a Southpaw to use" and a convenient hanging loop to hang it by. This product is quality built, it is made of a nice gage of metal that been cleaned in a dish washer. I highly recommend this product.

Have been using this for years and it does everything you expect it to. No problems.

Good double boiler. I wish the handles were bolted on rather than spot welded.

Perfect for a can of soup or two. No worries about scorching.
