OSTENT 5 Generation Version MD Card Flash Cartridge for Sega Mega Drive Genesis Master Console

This works really well. No setting-up required, and as others have mentioned it comes with every MD/Genesis game (I couldn't spot any missing at least) and nearly every Master System game. Many of the games are region specific, and a handful just don't seem to work, but overall it's great. It also works well for transferring homebrew games onto the SD card.

This is an amazing cartridge when you figure out how to work it, if it comes up with errors when trying to load the games, this is what you do. 1. Do not update the firmware. 2. Get a 32GB Sd card and a SDHC adapter (not the ones included with the cartridge, these have the game files on it. 3. Put the micro Sd card into the SDHC adapter and put it into the everdrive cartridge, put the cartridge in the megadrive and turn the power on. 4. When the megadrive loads up the cartridge will format the S.D. card and install an EDMD folder onto it. 5. Power off the megadrive and take the SD card that came with the everdrive and copy each folder either on the desktop or a U.S.B. stick. 6. Put the new SD card that you formated in the everdrive and put that in your computer. 7. Now all you need to do is either drag and drop the saved game files into the new micro Sd EDMD folder, make sure that they go in the save folder. If you can't drag and drop, right click on the game file and click on copy, then click on the micro SD card, right click and select paste. 8. Put the micro SD card into the SDHC adapter and put this back into the everdrive cartridge, put it in the megadrive and power on, click on the choose game option, select a game, press the Start button and the game will copy to the cartridge memory letting you play the games!!! Enjoy.

Nothing bad to say about this - delivery arrived a week before expected date, and as mentioned, it comes with a fully-loaded SD card - essentially ready to plug and play. Arrives as just a cartridge - in an ideal world I would have liked a Megadrive-style cart box for it as well, but that's being petty, I guess. Mine has arrived branded as an Everdrive, and when plugged in identifies as such as well. Not having seen one in general use I can't say if it really is, but I do know that the device info screen is the same as Everdrive's. Use a basic UI to select the game you want to play, give it 30 seconds to transfer and set up the files, and away you go. Note - my Megadrive has a 50/60Hz switch and runs through an OSSC, so I can't comment on PAL/NTSC or region compatibility, but there is a "region-free" setting in the device's options.

Cheap knock off that doesn't play certain games. Buy a real everdrive.

Majority of the games dont work and apparently aren't compatible with my sega megadrive. Waste of money and very frustrating!!

I was a little bit worried that this might be a scam or some low quality unreliable piece of garbage (the product description here looked a tiny bit scetchy tbh). But to my great relief it was not only what I wanted, but it was even more. This carthridge comes with a SD card (yes its pre-populated as others have described) and basically lets you choose from a easy navigatable menu which ROM file to load from the SD card into the carthridge. When you boot up your mega drive the next time its going to run the same game (ie no select game menu). And if you want to change game and get back into the menu, you simply press the tiny button on the top of the carthridge. Had to use a UK mail proxy to get it to Sweden, ended up paying about 3x the original price (shipping, proxy and tolls), but it was all worth it!

This cartridge comes with an SD card full of Megadrive/Genesis games and choosing/running games could really not be simpler. They are all on the SD but you can add more if you wish. And as they are images of the original cartridges, they are just as they would be if you had plugged in the original cartridge. Fantastic!

An absolutely fantastic bit of kit for the Sega Genesis/Megadrive if you love retro gaming I can't recommend it enough! It worked straight out of the packaging, super easy to set up, file transfers are really easy brilliant ! Had some nice little extra features too .

The cartridge had been delivered but without the SD card. I contacted the team and straight away they sent it in the post. Got it a few days later without any problems. The cartridge and SD card works perfectly. Overall very happy with the purchase and love the customer support.

Works like a charm! Make sure your files are in .md or .gen format or it may not work. Awesome having all my games on one cart! Takes about 5 - 10 seconds to flash a new game, which are easy to browse and load. Game stays loaded until you flash a new one. As long as the device holds up and can sustain many, many reflashings, this is a great product at a reasonable price! Now I need one for my snes…
