Does anyone read the product description of the item their looking to buy?

Not necessarily applicable to this particular item, and I understand your annoyance with people not reading descriptions before asking some questions. But many items on Amazon have poor or misleading descriptions.   And what is especially aggravating is when a single listing covers several products, but the seller's description doesn't reflect the item chosen.
 
In addition, sometimes Amazon lumps all of the reviews together so you can't tell which actual product is being reviewed.

If sellers would create separate listings for various products instead of lumping them together, this would be much easier for the buyer.  I'm sure that makes for more work for the seller, but won't that extra effort pay off by increasing sales?

What would be nice is if Amazon offered a system where the seller could create one listing that showed the various versions of a product and allowed the customer to select between them, but then that directed the customer to a completely separate listing for that chosen individual product, and that separate listing had the unique product information AND showed only the reviews for that one version.  This would still take more effort from the seller when setting up their listings, but would make life easier for the buyer, who would only see the reviews for the actual item they were considering.

Some improvements have been implemented, where the reviews now sometimes show the version the reviewer purchased.  But it's hit or miss.  Completely separate listings would be preferable.

Question 2

What is the thickness in mm of the 10mm hole area?  10mm x ?

I would guess that it is about 3 or 4 mm, the brackets are about 1/4" thick.

Question 3

Are these strong enough to mount highway pegs on a motorcycle crash bar?

Hmmm, maybe, but probably not.  They're not made of steel/iron.  I think they're cast aluminum, so probably more brittle and prone to cracking.  If you tried to clamp them down hard enough for pegs, the threads might strip.  Or you wouldn't get them tight enough and they'd rotate.  For mounting lights on your crash bar, yes. Pegs, I think no.

Question 4

Can these Bar Clamps support 25 pounds?

I would say no. They are designed to hold a light fixture that weighs a couple pounds at most. Actually, they are strong enough but with the rubber in the center they would just droop no matter how much you tightened them.
