Woodburning Realistic Animals

I am new to pyrography (only made one piece of artwork so far) but I immediately fell in love with it and plan on it being my new long-term hobby for years to come. I rarely ever write reviews but this book really blew my mind. For the price, I was expecting it to be maybe 20 pages long. However, I was delighted to discover 136 pages of incredibly useful information from such a talented artist! Minisa did an amazing job teaching everything in such an easy way to understand and I can tell a ton of work was put into the book to make sure it was perfect. She provides many great tips and information about safety, tools, types of wood, how to prepare/finish projects, how to choose designs, woodburning basics, features (eyes, fur, whiskers), how to color the artwork using all different types of materials, and so much more. She also provides step-by-step pyrography projects for creating a butterfly, bunny, horse, bobcat, hummingbird, moose, mountain lion, elk, owl, bighorn sheep, zebra, and lion! Another nice thing is she provides a lot of encouragement throughout the book by reminding the reader to not give up on their work, not compare their work to other artists, and practice practice practice. This book is also surprisingly inexpensive considering how informative and thorough it is. I am working on a leopard for my current pyrography project (I will be applying all the new skills I learned from this book) and will post a picture/update my review when I am finished :) *UPDATE: Posted a picture of a leopard I made using the techniques from this book

Beautiful art, clear instruction on all aspects of pyrography. Step by step photos and advice at all phases of each project, tight focus on specific detail in each case, special detailed emphasis on adding color in a wide range of mediums. solid safety protocols... And, the photos of the artwork for the projects are stunning all by themselves. This book has it all. Absolutely highest recommendation if you have any interest in woodburning, or even just curiosity about how it's done, and want to see some well photographed and stunning examples of the art.

Love it! It’s a great overview of the world of pyrography. Minisa does a great job of explaining the tools of this art form. She doesn’t focus on one type of tool but gives insight into a variety of tools. She does explain (with examples) the uses for various tips. Well done! Speaking of tips, her “Hot Tips” and “Minisa’s Tips” are wonderful, giving brief insights into wood burning. Very cool! It is obvious that Minisa is an exceptional artist. Her work speaks for itself. I am very glad she has shared her talent and love for this art form in this wonderful book! Great job, Minisa!

This artist has composed a Pyrography book that is full of tips, insight, beautiful details, and step by step patterns and tutorials. I have been following her for a long time and have gotten to know her. If you have questions or any problems Minisa will do what to can to help you. This is the best book on pyrography that I have seen!

Great patterns however not easy to copy patterns for use. But if there’s a will there’s a way

I have been wood burning for many years and this book still gave me some great new tips that I learned from. The photoshop tips were especially helpful as the computer side of art is all new to me. You will not be sorry to have this book in your artist reference library.

If you are interested in doing Pyrography of realistic animals, this is a must buy. Many instruction books give you sketchy instructions on how to do a basic drawing, and than give nothing about finishing it up. This gives you how to work on the entire picture. I do feel this book should not be used by beginners, if they have never worked with Pyrography or are a beginner. If they start above their skill level, they could become discouraged and no longer want to do it any more.

This is one of the best pyrography books you’ll ever have. Not only is this a gifted and informative teacher, the work she does will amaze you! Just take a moment and delve into her art! It will inspire you and melt your heart!

Encouraging book with great tips both for beginners and intermediate level pyrographers as me. I recommend it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this book, Not only do I use it for pyrography, but I use it with my drawing and colouring too! Great instructions and tutorials for both learners and more advanced who want to take their work a little further. Everything is in step by step, and easy to follow. I wouldnt be without mine, and I have learnt quite a bit from this book
