Lash Blast, Cleantopia Mascara, 800 Extreme Black, 0.32 fl oz (9.5 ml), Covergirl

I have avoided mascara as I have had no success at an affordable mascara that doesn’t sting. This is soo good. I can wear it all day without irritation. I’m sold!

I had good expectations but the mascara is already dry with 1 week using it. Also it crumbles after applied and get my under eyes smudged. :(

Purchased the COVERGIRL - Lash Blast Cleantopia Mascara, Clean Volumizing Mascara in extreme black for $10.80. As I have absolutely loved the Covergirl Lash Blast volumizer mascara in the orange tube for years and have repurchased it in regular and waterproof countless times, thought I’d try a newer product in the same line. I do really like the hourglass bristle brush but wish it was smaller to get into the corner lashes without making a mess of myself. The formula is both somewhat wet and thick. Unbelievable blobs and cling on product on the brush every time it’s pulled from the tube so there’s always far too much mascara. Making it messy to apply and wasteful. While I did notice some volume, the formula is too heavy and weighs down your lashes. If too much product is applied (which it’s almost impossible not to unless you have a rimmed container to swipe all the excess off and on to) you can multiply that by 5. Found it clumped almost immediately with the first coat but could make it look ok with the use of a clean spoolie and patience. It took a long time to dry so there’s ample time for fixes. The worst part was that it came off almost instantly on my pillowcase. The first time using this mascara I did it in the evening and was not going out that night. Wanted to try it out first, just in case. I did exactly what I stated above, ensured it was fully dry and then laid down on my bed to watch an episode of a show. When I got up maybe 45 minutes later the black mascara was all over my pillowcase from the one eye closest to it. Had to use micellar water and stain remover directly on the spot before washing it. Thankfully the vast majority of the mascara mark was able to come out. But when I looked at myself in the mirror I was shocked to see how much “fallout” was underneath my eyes! Never seen anything remotely close to this bad. All I can say is Thankfully I did a trial run at home with this mascara instead of going out of the house anywhere!! Pretty sure that this is the worst Covergirl product I’ve ever tried! Possibly the worst mascara I’ve ever tried! I will never buy this mascara again nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. I always try to find even the smallest good from the bad. The good is that I’m going to thoroughly clean the brush/wand that came with this product and use it as a spoolie and or as an alternative applicator for a mascara formula that I really like but hate the brush/wand that came with it.

I really wanted to love this stuff. My eyelashes look amazing after application. Long. Bold. Not clumpy. BUT I’m allergic, my eyes water and itch whenever I wear it. So maybe be cautious of ingredients before purchasing if you’re sensitive

Non clumping. I have alpha gal and sensitive eyes, this didn't cause a reaction.
