That doesn’t bother me but I wanted to mention it for anyone who might struggle with taking larger pills. So grateful to my best friend who recommended these to me as I’ll use them for the rest of my life!

This is a great product. I'm genetically prone to canker sores, so taking one of these per day usually prevents them, and when I get one, I take 3-4 of them daily to overload my system with it and make then go away quicker. I like that it comes in a glass container with a metal lid, because glass is infinitely recyclable, and I assume the lid is as well. However, I much appreciate a company that takes responsibility for the end of life of their product and offers a take back recycling program, which this company does not. In addition, this company has no information on how to recycle the product and its related parts (the cotton insert and lid) on its packaging, so I'm dinging a star for these reasons. This product is also manufactured in the USA, which I also appreciate for more than just environmental reasons. Overall, I recommend this product highly. I wanted to add, I spoke with customer service. The cotton insert is 100% compostable. A note: The plastic wrap around the bottle may be recyclable in your area. Please check for "plastic bag recycling near me" on whatever search engine you use, and you'll find places that take thin plastics, possibly including your local grocery store. Even though it doesn't say it, the bottle is recyclable. I would personally take the lid off, take out the insert (and throw in the trash), then put the lid in a can, crush the can, and recycle it that way. You may also probably keep the lid on, depending on your area, but personally I'd take the insert out still. Customer service also was very responsive to my feedback on the sustainability of the product and how they can improve, which I really like about a company. My comments were as follows: -The whole bottle comes wrapped in plastic to seal it. The bottle could still be properly sealed if only the top of the bottle was wrapped in plastic, and it would even be cheaper and more sustainable -Theres no recycling information on the bottle and there should be, as it shouldn't be assumed that the average consumer knows how to recycle these things -The company should consider implementing a take back recycling program for the bottles OR a refill program, where we refill the bottle we have and they send us packs of refill pills in paper packaging or compostable packaging and a cotton insert when we're out. If you're interested in being more sustainable, I suggest you call the company and give them the same feedback I did. You can find their phone number simply by looking it up. Their customer service is wonderful :)
