Q: do handles close onto lens when folded?

The tips are metal and fold to the inside of the glasses and if you carry them in a bag or pocket it scratches the inside of the lens. After one week of using these there are noticeable scratches. I wish they had a softer tip.

Q: are these lenses very dark?

They are not so dark that your sight is hindered. I wear them for driving and find them to be perfect.

Q: Do these have spring hinges?

Do you mean the joint between the lens snd the arm? If so, then yes, they do.
