## DSS Games The Couples Game That's Actually Fun: A Review **The Couples Game That's Actually Fun**, by DSS Games, promises a fun and engaging experience for couples. While it's marketed as a party game, I found it works best as a casual, intimate activity for two. Here's a breakdown of what I liked and disliked about the game: **What I Loved:** * **Simple and Quick:** The game's rules are very easy to grasp, requiring minimal setup and play time. It's perfect for a quick and spontaneous activity after dinner or a relaxing evening. * **Engaging Questions:** The questions, ranging from playful to deep, encourage conversation and laughter. They offer a great opportunity to learn something new about your partner or rediscover fun facts you've forgotten. * **Competitive with a Twist:** The game's competitive element adds a playful push without overshadowing the focus on bonding. It encourages brainstorming and strategic questioning, making it more than just answering random prompts. * **Varied Decks:** The 'Blue' and 'Red' decks offer different levels of intimacy and depth, allowing you to tailor the game based on your comfort level and desired discussion topics. **What Could Be Improved:** * **Limited Replayability:** The questions, while entertaining, are limited in number. Once you’ve played through them a few times, the novelty may wear off. The creators could benefit from expanding the card decks or releasing themed expansions. * **Lack of Depth for Long-Term Couples:** For couples who are already deeply connected, some questions might feel too simplistic. The game could benefit from including prompts that encourage more complex and meaningful dialogue. **Overall:** The Couples Game That's Actually Fun delivers on its promise of fun and engaging gameplay. It's a great option for couples looking for a lighthearted way to connect and laugh together. While the limited card decks and relatively simple questions might not appeal to everyone, the game's easy-to-learn rules and focus on meaningful conversation make it a worthwhile experience. I would recommend it for couples new to game nights or those seeking a casual, low-pressure way to learn more about each other.

This couples game is genuinely fun and not awkward or cheesy. The questions spark great conversations, laughs, and deeper connection without feeling forced. It’s easy to play, perfect for date night, and works well for new or long-term couples. A great gift idea that brings quality time instead of clutter.

Every part of the game is quality materials, nothing feels cheap at all. Prompts have been so fun for date nights, and am looking forward to passing the game on once we’ve done all the cards. There are a lot of cards to get through, so it will last a couple a long time and we end up laughing, swooning over each others answers—and so far have come across no prompts that are sex related, which is a relief. Bonding as a couple comes in many forms and we love this game for the opportunity to bond in emotional ways where we can also express our humour and love!
