I purchased this because I sprained my pinky finger. Its holding it good in place

I got these to protect the end of my finger, which was accidentally amputated. And they're just not great. First off, the velcro strap is actually a cord wrap, and it's cumbersome to have the extra slotted end of it in the way. Second issue I have with it is that the foam padding was molded to the metal before it was bent, so instead of having the padding actually wrap around the end of my finger, it's creased there. I included a comparison photo with a splint I got from Walmart that has the padding actually curved instead of creased at the tip. For stabilization, it's probably fine, but the cord wrap velcro is stupid and gets in the way.

My 10 year old sone broke his pinky and they put on a bulky splint that limited the use of his hand. And of course this was his dominant hand. But being an emt I knew that this was highly unnecessary. So I ordered these instead. This product was perfect. It protected the joint and prevented him from bending his finger to aid in his healing. And it was comfortable for all day wear and sleeping.

My child squished it pretty tight on her finger at times so you have to be careful it’s not too tight. Kept finger protected from bumps.
