British Humour-
Some of the British style of Humour is sort of flat in my opinion, but most of it is funny--GBF/CFII

Cracking DVD Gromit.
At three pounds ninety-seven pence, this DVD represents excellent value. It is a compilation of the classic first three short films featuring the amiable duo, and in my opinion these films haven't been bettered. There's a simplicity about the tales, and an innocence that makes them adorable for both adults and children, and as Nick Park says in the introduction they benefit from having an excellent score. This is particularly noticeable in my favourite short film, 'the wrong trousers'. There is something in each film that can't fail to make you smile, and these are perfect films for very young children as they are both engaging and funny.

The original Wallace and Gromit half-hour adventures. And it's easy to see why the series became as popular as it did!A Grand Day Out -Wallace and Gromit go to the moon because Wallace is out of cheese. Probably the weakest of the adventures but still a lot of fun and you have to forgive the slight amateur feel as it was their first outing on a very low budget. Many good jokes to keep you amused though, particularly during the scene in which they build the rocket. The Wrong Trousers -An evil penguin lodges with Wallace and Gromit and has some very interesting plans involving Wallace's new invention. Best of the bunch, with a strong intriguing plot, a fantasticamount of tension, a terrifying villain (despite the fact that he doesn't speak or even change his facial expressions!) and a climactic train-top chase that can easily rival anything Michal Bay can make!A Close Shave -Wallace falls for local wool shop owner Wendolene after she employs their new window-cleaning service but Gromit has his suspicions about her pet dog. This one comes a very close second behind The Wrong Trousers, with another exciting and very funny plot. The introduction of a second speaking character doesn't in any way detract from the relationship between the two leads, the non-verbal bad guy is again very threatening and the climactic action scene this time covers a whole third of the running time! Also features the debut of Shaun the Sheep, who was so popular he went on to star in his own series. All three -All the adventures offer something for everyone, both kooky characters and colourful settings for the kids, as well as witty one-liners and intelligent plots for the adults. The animation is great, and it's nice to see the slightly more hand-made look to these three films, as opposed to the more polished Hollywood look of the next two (which are also fantastic). Recommended for anyone of any age with a sense of adventure and an even better sense of humour!

Cracking !!
My excuse for buying this is that I discovered a friend of mine had never seen any of their adventures and I'd given away my old videos. These early films are a joy, an absolute tonic ... they should be on prescription.Everyone has their favourite characters and moments, the difficulty is picking them from all the magic. If I had to be pinned down on this I'd have to choose the cooker with attitude in "Grand Day Out" and the moment that Wallace recognises Penguin in "The Wrong Trousers" ... creases me up every single time I watch it.Cracking Gromit

Really Fun
They are really well done. Laugh out loud without getting even a little vulgar or crude. Pay attention to the details, pictures, headlines, etc. They are great.
