First off, what ph meter are you using? I have 3 different ones from Amazon, calibrated all in the same solutions, at 25 C, all give me different values. They’re useless. If you want to be more sure, you should also have test strips or test fluid. As for all the reviewers saying this doesn’t work, that they had to use a whole bottle or whatever to get to the ph value they were after.. I question your water source. I recently put in an RO system to use for my plants. On my old hard water (about 240ppm) it would take about 8.5ml of ph down to get my 4 gallon jug of just water (for flush) down to 6.0 from about 7.5. Now with RO water measuring 002ppm before adjust, I started on another 4 gallon jug with 3 ml, and it brought me down to 3.5. So I tried a gallon jug, I dipped my finger in the down, then into the jug. I don’t know how to add any less that that? Well, it took my 7.1 down to 4.2. INSANE. This stuff definitely works, too well. I’m new to RO, so I haven’t tried with nutes yet, but I’m hoping once I have a higher ppm in my water from the nutes that it will be less sensitive to adjust the ph. If you have water under 010 ppm and it takes more than a few drops to get your value, you should try another method of testing your ph, because your meter might be lying to you. Some other things to consider is how are you adding your down? Is the tool clean? Have you tried balancing just water? Because maybe it has something to do with the combo of nutes you’re using, or the ppm you end up at with your nutes added. See, this is the problem with online reviews. This didn’t work for someone because they unknowingly were using it wrong, then they leave a trash review. I also have the root farm ph down, and the standard hydroponics down, and it seems to work exactly the same, just as powerful. I haven’t tried the Indo brand yet, but I’m willing to bet it works just as good. So to summarize my opinion, if this isn’t adjusting your levels with just a few drops, I think you have other problems, and that this stuff works great. And to be clear, I bought this myself, I have never had any products shipped to me in exchange for a review. I am a very happy customer of all General Hydroponics products, I run their 10 part nute system in my soil grows, and notice a benefit over using the Indo nutes I started with a couple of years ago. Keep your patients, you’ll get it all figured out soon. There are a lot of areas to master in growing Mary, I’m FAR from it. Ph is an important one, some strains are more forgiving than others, but if you’re too far out your plant might (probably will) stop taking in nutes, and that’s no good.
