If you look at my other reviews (so far mostly "for dummies books") I write that they give you an over view of the subject and alert you to the risks and rewards of trading and the mechanics of how trading works. I actually read the whole book and found it fairly interesting. The book is ideal for giving a solid introduction to the futures markets because many books simply aren't around that do that.

Wonderful book. Received in great condition. Anyone interested in trading futures, this is a perfect start!

Not for the beginner
I am a ground level starter. I have been reading books on how to get into day trading. This book was a little over my head. It did contain a lot of good information though. It is probably best for some one that has a little futures knowledge.

A mediocre description of what Futures Trading is about. The author touched on a multitude of topics making the book almost useless in terms of guiding a beginner on how to trade futures. This book is more of an overview for some one who has absolutely no knowledge about futures trading and what it is. In that, the book reaches its goal, more or less. You will not know how to trade futures after reading this book so be advised and forewarned.

Practical Overview of trading futures
This is a good overview with many warning to be careful not to bust your buget. Learning to be a future trader is only possible for about 1/3 of those who try according to Duate.

A good introduction for beginers that have some knowledge in trading
This book provides a good base for those that are interested in getting started in future, and/or options trading. Though this book doesn't thoroughly cover topics outlined in each chapter as some may expect, it provides enough of basic fundamentals to seek out other sources for more detailed information. When it comes to research on trading options, or any other topic for that matter, it would be wise to consult other reliable sources. The "Dummies" series of books, aren't intended to be the sole informational source for the respective topics which they cover.
