Feels good
Doesn't make the hand so dirty as other pomades and it's easy to clean hands. Styles the hair very well

More like a gel
Initially didn't like it but tried it having just cut my hair and it's not bad. Short hair only, doesn't restyle too well though so no ruffling!

POOR VALUE
i was surprised that the product and contents was 50% the size of the small container-really poor value and very disappointing-I feel cheated.

Good hold and finish, but I really don't like the smell
Unlike traditional pomades, the Mancave product is very much gel-like in appearance, although not consistency (much harder than gel). The hold is light and low sheen, which I personally like. What I don't like is the fragrance - to my nose, Mancave often gets this wrong with its "whisky" signature fragrance. To me, the smell is unclean - reminiscent of sebum. While not quite as bad, nor as strong-smelling as other Mancave products, this pomade still doesn't smell good to me. The product has some good qualities, including the ease to wash out - but that (admittedly light) smell really puts off using it. Of course, smell is subjective so give it a whiff and decide for yourself.Despite gel-like appearances, the pomade is quite oily in use, too. This is either good or bad depending on your preference - and should be "good" if you're after a pomade - but it left my hair feeling quite unclean.Not really for me.

Mancave Water Based PomadeThis water based pomade offers great hold, a pleasant, manly aftershave type scent and lasts all day long. The product itself has a thick texture and produces a slight shine when applied to hair without looking wet or greasy. The gel does not leave any residue or unsightly remains when applied to hair after sufficient emulsification.A finger-sized amount is sufficient for enough hold to last a day and is very easy to wash out. However, scooping the product out of its container does require some effort due to the consistency of the gel - making it tricky to extract with just one finger.Priced at around £9, as a mid range pomade, makes this a good value for money option. A great pomade for those looking for a product that offers a slight shine, good hold with an excellent smell that lasts all day long.
