Great product…. This is a great speaker cable as it’s super soft and flexible. Because it on a reel and not just rolled up, it unwinds without and kinks of distortion. So attaching it to skirting and the wall was easy and was neat. As it’s an aluminium cored cable with a copper classed skin it’s very light. For the geeks, the electric current flows mainly at the skin of the conductor, between the outer surface and a level called the skin depth, so it doesn’t help having a solid copper conductor. It provided a great sound in my man cave aka “Shebeen Bar” Brad

Great value speaker wire which is ideal for AV set ups with many speakers. When deciding how much you need, my advice is to double it, as you always seem to use more than you expect 🤣

It does what it’s supposed to do. But I don’t trust it’s durability (just a personal opinion). It’s positive indicator is a black stripe which in itself is ok, but it’s so towards the centre of the insulator that it’s difficult to see. I know that’s the idea of the outer being white, but the + indicator placement, and the fact that it’s black, make it very difficult to connect to correct +/- terminals when fumbling behind speakers in dark corners or behind AV receivers in cabinets etc. I installed it on right and left rear height speakers (as I moved them further back). It worked as it should, but it’s durability played on my mind. So after a few weeks, I purchased some 14awg pure copper wire to match the rest of my set up. So personally it was a waste of money and time. I’ve always used pure copper in the past, and compared to what I’m used to, this CCA wire seems flimsy. If you need some cheap speaker wire for relatively short runs across your living room, then I’d say this is great! It does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and there is no sound quality compromise whatsoever! But if you need long runs, or you need to route the wire under floorboards or in walls etc, you may do better buying a more durable and robust pure copper speaker cable in the first place. Lesson learned for me.

I read a lot of reviews on what gauge wire to buy considering your speaker setup and power output. I was advised 16 awg would be perfect but honestly it’s one step too thick personally. I bought this reel to go to all my speakers and it did the job spot on. Never had any negative occurrences. Sound is great especially using Atmos speakers above seats. Have plenty left on reel, worth the money and the pain of refitting all wires.

Mistake of buying without reading the small prints…strands is only 26. Much too little for a 16awg grade. Never expects Gear will manufacture such less strands on top of a non full copper wire. Less filament means the sound quality will be very much compromised somehow. Not a good audio wire per se as compare to other Brand’s. Really regret. Sighed.

This wire is good stuff. It cuts and strips easily and is very soft and flexible, making it easy to route around obstacles or pull through conduits. Works absolutely perfect for a medium powered speaker setup. I detect no distortion or signal loss whatsoever. Good value here.
