Nice and smooth sound

String preference is very personal but if you are a beginner these would be a great choice to replace the manufacturer's strings on a starter ukelele. They have a nice full sound yet are a little softer on the fingers. I highly recommend them!

These strings lasted only 2 weeks before they started shredding and buzzing. In the fret locations, the string would leave spider web like fur balls. When removing the fur ball, strands of string would peal off the full length of the string. During the first couple weeks, they did sound great, easy to play, and easy to keep in turn. Then the G string started buzzing at the 1st fret. Then all the strings had these spider web looking fur balls. I though the idea that these strings were made from sugar cane made them an attractive alternative to oil based products. I will never buy them again.

Of this brand this is my favorite set. Warm Tone, nice feel, and appear to be holding up well. I would buy this configuration again. Can’t answer about durability as I’ve only had them on my instrument for about a week.

Added tone and volume to my tenor ukulele

Loved the sustain of the strings. But when I played finger style it sure did squeek, so I put super glue on my finger tips to solve the problem.

Not much of a difference in tone compared to my previous strings, but definitely more responsive to softer plucks and strums.

UPDATE 2021: THEY'VE FIXED THE SQUEEKING AND "DRY" FEELING. ALL THE POSITIVE QUALITIES REMAIN! The most squeaky strings money can buy, so why do they make them? They are a slightly thicker gauge than strings made from other materials, hence have a lower string tension to match. They also deliver a high-end sparkle, favouing upper-mid overtones. I think they sound lovely, and have used them to 'brighten-up' both a Pono Concert (Mango) and Koaloha Tenor (Spruce). Pitch-wise, they take 24-48 hours to settle; squeek-wise, at least a month! Apply a small amount of handcream or hair oil, and the squeek is absent from day one, but the touch and feel still takes a bit of time to settle (initially they feel slightly dry/textured, like a finely-grained blackboard). Conclusion: a bright singular sound, low string tension, worth the small amount of additional effort to set up. Same longevity as standard strings too!

Le uso ormai da qualche tempo e devo dire che si prestano per il fingerpicking ed per eventuali abbellimenti di un pezzo altrimenti "ritmico". La presa è ottima ed il suono è brillante anche se vagamente ovattato. Le corde sono piacevoli al tatto (più spesse rispetto a modelli simili forse?) ma diventano scomode se si suonano strumming semplici per periodi prolungati.
