Reliable and compact ice maker – still going strong after a year!
🗓️ Length of Ownership: I’ve had this ice maker for almost a year now, and I’m genuinely impressed by how well it’s held up. I wasn’t expecting it to last this long for the price, but it’s been a great investment, especially during the summer. ❄️ Performance: We keep the machine running constantly in the warmer months, and it consistently provides fresh ice throughout the day. You can choose between small or large ice cubes—though even the “large” ones aren’t huge, they’re a perfect size for our drinks. As long as the bin isn’t full, the machine keeps producing ice reliably without any issues. 🧼 Maintenance: Taking care of this machine has been very simple. About once every two weeks, I wipe it down with vinegar and warm water—mainly the inside compartment and the removable basket. That’s really all it takes to keep it clean and running smoothly. It’s not complicated at all and only takes a few minutes. 🔊 Noise Level: The noise level is surprisingly reasonable. It’s not silent, but it’s definitely not loud enough to be annoying. We usually have it running in the background, and it doesn’t bother us at all. 👨👩👧 Usage & Capacity: It’s just my husband and me using it, and it easily covers our daily needs—typically 6 to 8 drinks a day in the summer. If you have a larger family or entertain often, you might want something with a higher capacity, but for us, this size is just right. ✅ Pros: Still working great after nearly a year Compact and stylish design Option to choose between small and large cubes Reasonably quiet operation Very easy to clean and maintain Perfect for small households or couples ❌ Cons: Ice output might not be enough for large families “Large” cube size is still relatively small (just FYI) 💬 Final Thoughts: If you’re looking for a reliable countertop ice maker that doesn’t take up much space and delivers consistent performance, this one is a great choice. It’s easy to use, easy to maintain, and perfect for keeping your drinks cold all summer long. We’re very happy with it and would definitely buy it again.

Seems to work well but a bit noisy
Makes ice and does reasonably fast. It is a small machine so it is not going to supply a big event. For the two of us it is sized well. Works well but it is a bit noisy so we have it in the room with the freezer. It would be nice to have an easier way to fill the water. You need to remove the ice basket and look inside as you fill the reservoir. An external window would be great. But all in all not too bad. Love the ice.

Pellet ice. Beats the heck out of ice trays. Great for blending and drinks.
Pellet ice, good for drinks and blender. Ice is wet which limits foaming drinks, but it does cause the ice to stick together if you transfer it to the freezer to stock pile it. Capacity is not very large, so I make several bags to store it for a while. Since it sticks together I use heavy bags and slam it in the floor to break it back apart. After storing in the freezer it sets up in a large block of ice. Draining extra water from the basket before transferring ice to freezer helps. Unit is heavy. Remember to keep it upright or sit upright for a while before using. Storage is small and it is not very fast, so plan ahead. Water can drain back in the bottom to recirculate and and make more ice. Unit doesn't operate as a freezer for storage, but the ice did last for a while after it was made. Keep fan vents clear on the sides. It does generate a little heat. I find it to be fairly quiet. Drain in the bottom makes it easy to empty and dry. I am not sure how difficult it would be to get a replacement if it failed, since it is an unusual shaped plug. Note: If you use distilled water in the unit, you won't get the scale build up that is very difficult to remove. It happens here in everything with well water. Same for coffee makers, irons, etc.

Fast But Small Storage Capacity
This is my 4th nugget ice maker. These counter-top nugget ice makers last two years with constant use, and that's it. I've had two Opals (first gen and second gen) and a Mueller. This ice maker is fast, which is good. But it is noisy. Most importantly, it's storage capacity is SMALL. I can fill one beer-pint-sized glass and then it's empty. All of these counter-top nugget ice makers are irritating to care for and clean, this one will be no different. There is no such thing as "auto clean." That just means it has a cleaning button. If you like nugget ice or can't live without it (like me!) and can get away with having a small storage capacity, this one works well and the price is great. It is fast which is also great. However, I think it will go to our camper and I'll get a larger one for the house. It's just too noisy and small for our kitchen.
