153 Black&White (Black)

This pen is sleek, stylish, and such a joy to write with. It looks even better in person than the pictures do it justice and it feels so comfortable to write with. The price is a lot for a ball pen but I am still completely satisfied with the purchase. It is one of my favorite pens to write with.

Absolute favorite pen. It’s the perfect weight, and writes with a balance of smoothness and grip/friction. I own other versions of this pen, and can confirm that the seller sent an authentic one. Very happy to now own it in black!

I bought the white one and fell in love so i got a 2nd one in black!

As someone who's familiar with the original plastic Monami 153 pens, I was excited to try this updated version—and it did not disappoint. The upgrade to a more robust, metallic body instantly makes this feel like a premium writing tool. It has a satisfying weight in the hand, giving it that sturdy, well-balanced feel that plastic pens just can’t match. The design is minimalist and modern, with a matte finish that looks clean and professional. But the real star here is the writing experience. The ink flows incredibly smoothly—no skips, no smudges. Whether I’m jotting down notes or writing for long stretches, it glides across the page with ease. What I also appreciate is that it's refillable, which adds to its sustainability and makes it a great everyday pen that can last far longer than your typical throwaway options. This is a thoughtful, well-executed redesign of a classic—and if you like your writing tools to be both functional and stylish, this one is worth picking up.

I also have 153 NEO. They are far more superior made than French-made Parkers. As good as and more stylish than US-made Parkers.

The ink flow cuts after writing.

The body of this pen is perfect. It's metal but not slippery. It's long and feels great to write with. The ballpoint ink cartridge it came with is pretty nice (for a ballpoint) but I switched it for a gel refill and now it's my favorite pen.

In the picture it looks powder coated but in reality its a 'soft touch' coating which tend to peel away over time. The plastic piece that locks the pen tip into place when extended is really flimsy plastic and an obvious weak point in the design. The ink that comes with the pen is some of the best oil-based ballpoint pen ink I've used, so I added a star. However I think the NEO is a better purchase.
