A tool that repurposes dusty synapses
A great idea that i'm enjoying more by the day. Well made. Great battery life. As advertised, it is NOT a computer...it's a well made electronic typewriter with a screen and memory. You think as you did before computers.

Nice product; a bit expensive
The sleeve works as advertised (I mean, it's a sleeve). My only problem with it, and the reason I almost didn't buy it, is it's pretty expensive. $45 felt a bit expensive for a sleeve that doesn't appear to offer much actual protection, other than from outside elements.

Pricey, but a handsome perfect fit.
The Freewrite Sleeve is a must have for any new owner of the wonderful Freewrite. It’s made of a sturdy felt with nice leather accents and two magnetic closure buttons. The flap reads “Freewrite” in the Astrohaus font which is a nice touch. The sleeve does not have a handle however which didn’t stop me from purchasing it. It fits the Freewrite like a glove. You should definitely get one of these ASAP to protect your investment if you plan to carry it around with you. I put a tiny nick in the aluminum of the Freewrite while carrying it without a cover. I will say the price is steep for a pretty basic cover but you’re paying for something that fits exactly right and looks nice. My sleeve has a strong mildewy smell, though it shows no damage. I assume it is something used in production and the scent will dissipate over time. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

Don’t waste your $50 on this!
Don’t waste your money. Better to buy brief case or knapsack. Writer does not fit. Very tight squeeze to even get close to close. Terrible! Love my Freewrite. This is appalling for $50. I should have sent it back.

Damaged my Smart Typewriter
Unfortunately, as excited as I was for this protective sleeve, it did more damage than anything. The sleeve’s button scratched my device from the inside.

The perfect sleeve when I carry my Freewrite Ink in my backback
When I travel, it's good to have a good sleeve to protect the Freewrite from scratches and dirt. This sleeve does that well. I have a backpack and a leather briefcase, and this item does the job to keep my Freewrite protected and safe.

Just about perfect
The sleeve fits beautifully and it is high quality. Very nice looking! I am glad I purchased it. My only wish is that it let the handle of the Freewrite go through the case so it was easier to carry.

It's a Little Too Small and It Doesn't Have a Handle
I can't imagine owning a Freewrite without a carrying case of some kind but this is not the best fit, even though the same company that makes the Freewrite made this sleeve. This sleeve is a little too short. You will struggle to try to snap it shut and I'm afraid that, given the tight fit, sooner or later the snaps will come off. The sleeve also does not have a handle You will be much better off with something such as a messenger bag that is a little roomier and that has a strap or a handle.

This is decent enough quality, but is slightly baggy and doesn’t look especially nice. It definitely feels overpriced as it is just felt. Also not sure this is real leather.

Tiene una gran calidad en materiales, funciona perfecto para el freewrite. Es un poco costosa, pero es un gran accesorio.

I'm very disappointed with the Freewrite sleeve. Others have said that their device fits well inside but I find it a tight fit to do up the poppers. Also it's described as having leather trimming on it but it doesn't look like leather to me more like vinyl, unless of course there's now a different manufacturer at work? I think a more suitable protection would be if the company made a strong lid like the old typewriters had and we were then able to put it on top and carry it by the handle. It's rare for me to complain about something but that's how I feel for the price, the seems like something that was made cheaply to me for just a few quid. The Freewrite itself, I love though and think it's a marvellous device, pity the sleeve doesn't do it justice overall.

Very useful, if only to keep the Freewrite from getting dusty when I'm not writing. It blocks off the Freewrite's handle, though, and doesn't have one of its own. Also, it would have been good if there were a pouch for the charging lead, which I am constantly losing. Otherwise, does the job I bought it for.
