Not for the faint at heart **UPDATE**
Now I was trying different filament when I upgrade to the bowden, so this review might not be totally accurate. I do want to say that I refused to give up on this product and have managed to print my first job. It looks pretty good and the print tracks very well. No overshoot like I have seen on direct drives. The all metal heat break does not seem to work for me, but the PTFE type seems to be working very well. You might struggle with this, but I believe that once you get your process dialed in you will like it.**UPDATE**Have run continuous for the last 3-days with no issues related to the Extruder assy. Prints are smooth with no globs or oozing at the extruder assembly as originally encountered. Much happier now and will keep this setup. Customer Support (Brett) has been outstanding during my prolonged learning curve.

Works really well so far
I got this hot end yesterday. It came with plenty of spare parts and tools to put it together. So far I have had only one jam which was due to a retraction setting that was too far. 8 hours of prints and no clogs or jams. Great hot end for the price.I will update as i continue to calibrate and print.**Update**I have run several 6+ hour prints through this hotend and haven't had a clog or jam at all. Very good hotend for the price. Prints look excellent with minimal stringing, I am extremely happy with this hotend

Decent hotend, no problems yet
Bought this with some reservation about how it would stack up against the E3d's that I'm used to. Popped it on the printer, and haven't had any problems yet. I was planning on using an e3d thermistor cartridge, but this hotend isn't really setup for that. Not a big deal because it has its own therm included but thought i'd mention it.

Would recommend tbh. People only bash because its a clone <3
Alright so first impressions are good, it's probably the best clone out here. It fits the true e3d parts fine. It's really the best bang for the buck <3 would recommend. But would also recommend after you use up the heat brakes that come with it, switching to titanium heat brake is the best and using more to spec heater block is recommended. Other than that. It's fine.Tighten after it gets hot. Improper installation is a pain for even pros or just normal people who work on these like me lol. If you mess up the install it's going to leak. Hand tighten everything even if it's from the factory, dont over torque it.Ots a solid build and I highly recommend gulfcoast. It is an American clone that's been around for years now <3Even comes with a way better sock than shown <3

Terrible: Leaked, then broke entirely.
I am not inexperienced at 3d printing. For example: I know you need to season the hot ends.I also know to tighten the nozzle to the heat block to the heat break *AFTER* it's heated up. And not just once. This hot-end, after doing that not once but TWICE, still leaked PLA all over, enough to kill a couple models before I figured out what was going on. Indeed, it went on to plug up the feed tube, and render the entire thing useless. To their credit, they do include multiple heat breaks. And nozzles. And I suppose the push-plug-joint guys for the PTFE bowden tubes are nice enough. However, to their detriment, they only include one heating BLOCK. So when the end of the heat break snaps off inside the block as I try to replace it - well - I'm pretty much dead in the water.I feel dumb, for not investing in the actual part and going for the bargain one instead. SURELY I WILL DODGE THE BULLET, I thought.Sigh.

Jams frequently
Bought this to replace my genuine e3d v6 lite. Jams every other print. Worked best at cooler temps but then I get poor layer adhesion. Adjusted retractions from .5 to 3mm with similar results. I can get it to jam by just warming up the hotend, feeding out 5mm, count to 20 then feed 5mm more and it's jammedUpdate:Swapped out the all metal heat break for the one with a PTFE liner and that fixed the jamming issues but now it's not an 'all metal' hotend. More comparable to the E3D V6 Lite which is already pretty cheap so you might as well get a genuine E3D. I'll try a better, all metal heat brake at some point and probably a better fan.

Great Price for Value!
This All Metal V6 Hotend has been a great upgrade for my CR-10S. I have been able to print with PLA, PETG, various wood types, temp changing and glow in the dark filaments without any issues. I recommend this part with a firmware upgrade, just make sure you print out your PETSFANG or similar mounting brackets for the V6 before you dive in to swap out your parts.
