Was a little thrown of by the size of the book since its so small, but its a great story. Stephen King at his best. Review: I Need More - I have been an avid reader of Stephen King since Carrie, 1974. The Life of Chuck, I believe, is one of his more enjoyable short stories. My 4* is because King's short stories are never enough for me. The story is clever from the 1st park bench signs and billboards to the final closing of the cupola door. A quick read that was lacking only for the length.

Very sad and interesting read
I wasn't sure what to expect. I haven't seen the movie, although now I definitely want to. I found myself teary several times and ended the book with quite a profound sense of sadness. Just what a good book does!

We aren’t guaranteed a long, successful happy existence. “Life is what we make it” comes to mind.
This is a story of a life, short but fully lived. It made me exhilarated but also brought me low with a heart full of tears and lingering sorrow. I’ve read it several times, I think trying to find where my final thoughts may lie…..or something!!? I love it but the lingering sadness is hard to process, find a place for in my life?

Different story style
Chuck is an ordinary man with a few extraordinary events in his life. This was a short story as part of an anthology. It was published singularly to coincide with the movie made from the story.

Remember everything is signed, “Chuck”.
This is a good read and only takes a couple of hours to read, basically three chapters. If you’ve seen the movie then you’ve pretty much read the book. I only noticed one small variation. I like to read the book if the movie makes you think after you’ve seen it. Lot’s of times the book will be enlightening and will be more enjoyable. It was a good read but it didn’t provide anything to the movie.

I saw the film in the cinema when it was out and planned to check out the novella. I'm glad I did as I really enjoyed it! I did find it to be emotional at times but I liked it and thought it was very good!

Llego en buen estado. Es un excelente libro. Sólo que Amazon debería esmerarse en empacar mejor los libros. Me llego sin bolsa o plástico protector. Es un milagro que no haya llegado roto o doblado.
