My 10yr old loves this. I thought it looked flimsy but well worth the money as it doesn’t break when you crash it! My son got the hang of it immediately and it’s hours of fun!

This is a lovely lightweight drone/jet that is great fun though best on calm days or indoors if you have the space. It is quite easy to set up and thanks to the gaming type controller a lot easier to fly than some of the older budget drones I have tried. One press take off and return/land buttons – nice and easy for cack handed grandads trying to impress the little one ! I especially like the 3D tumble button and being pointy you don’t need to guess which direction it is aiming. It looks pretty cool in stealth bomber black though battery like is a bit short and build is a bit flimsy so try and land it on the grass wherever possible !

I've had more than a few toy grade (and serious hobby grade) quadcopters and can say that I was very impressed by this toy model. This radio controlled jet is, in fact, a quadcopter with a lightweight foam body attached. As a first RC model aircraft, the jet body helps quite a bit. It is an invaluable aid in maintaining orientation, there is no doubt which is the front, and the amount of foam surrounding the props will help greatly in reducing crash damage to the props and motors. The quadcopter is very good at maintaining the height that it is sent to, some odd drift to the left/right forwards/reverse can be trimmed on the controller trim buttons. It is stable enough to be flown indoors in a suitably large space. It has a few features such as flips, circuits and fast modes, but as a model that is controlled by the pilot, it is very good. Each battery lasted over 6mins, and may improve after few cycles. Charging is relatively slow on the single charger device (needs a USB adapter). Three AAA cells are needed for the controller. My grandson will be thrilled by this. The range of these tend to be fairly low, 50 to 80m typically, so they can be flown outdoors in (very) calm conditions, away from trees, homes and other children.

It doesn’t hover straight with a single button push without a lot of trim adjustments first, and so it’s not suitable for anyone who doesn’t have good flight control skills. It is fun to fly around though, once you’ve got it balanced each time.

Defective – did not turn on. Tried both batteries and charged them for several hours, but still no response.
