1 Kwanzan Flowering Cherry Tree

Recibí un palito con lo que creo son brotes. Espero no muera y llegue a crecer hojas. La planté en una maceta más grande, busqué instrucciones en internet porque no trajo ninguna. Vino bien empacado y llegó antes de tiempo. Más adelante les diré que tal me fué con la planta. Actualización 30/12/25 1 mes después de haberla recibido y el palito se secó. Seguí todas las instrucciones al pie de la letra y no tuve avance. Incluso la sembré en un tarro grande con tierra fértil. Perdí mi dinero.

It took 5 days for it to be delivered to me in NC alive. The box had holes for ventilation and the tree was fitted in the box securely to prevent it from being jostled in the box. It also came with care directions. Based on the care directions and my research online I purchased potting mix, pebbles, and a flowering pot with draining holes so that the water can drain quickly and prevent root rot. Since it is in fresh soil I haven't added fertilizer/ bloom booster to not overwhelm the sprout. It has been two weeks since and three leaves have sprouted so I guess I am doing something right. I can't wait for next spring, to see if it will flower.

When I got mine it was shoved into a tiny box and bent over alot and when I took it out it seemed to be in shock and has been losing leaves ever since eith no signs of flowers

When I ordered this plant, I was a little afraid because the last time I ordered the same plant, it died after a month or so after I planted it outside in my front yard. I decided to give it another shot since I really do like cherry blossoms. When I received my package, the plant was wrapped up really well (I wish I had taken a picture to share with other buyers). However, I was hoping that history won’t repeat itself again as I received a twig in a tiny planter with only 2-3 tiny buds and no leaves whatsoever. I placed the plant in the basement near the window where there is sunlight for a couple of days and I noticed it started to grow a couple of tiny leaves and the flower buds got a little bigger. I transferred the plant upstairs to our living area and placed it on our windowsill and it’s currently doing really well as you can see from the pictures. As I live in Minnesota, I would recommend that if you live in a cold climate, start with indoor planting as soon as you receive your plants first until it’s strong enough to be placed outside when the weather gets a little warmer than it is now. Believe it or not it's actually growing and doing quite fine indoors. It has grown 3 branch's and 5 inch's taller since delivery. I plan to grow it indoors till it reaches 1 foot over its current height. When growing check your region to make sure it's capable of growing .
