Unbelievable koi pond filter system
I would highly recommend after my 84-year-old mom after multiple years of screwing around with filters and cleaning them out every day or two and having her kids come over and always have to dink around with everything under the sun to keep it going nice I stumbled into this and we have been pleasantly surprised beyond belief! I would highly recommend for somebody that's looking to maintain a koi pond with ease. I found the unit to be a very high quality worked as promised however did buy the warranty cuz I think that anything involving water and mechanical stuff will definitely create problems down the road although right now everything is working beyond our expectations! and mechanical stuff will definitely create problems down the road although right now everything is working beyond our expectations!

Needs improvement
The unit waste a lot of water. However you can prevent water waste by attaching a water trap or a gravity filter before returning the water to the pond. As well, the pvc plumbing is metric, making it necessary to use rubber fittings to adapt to standard US measure pvc pipes.Also, I devised a water capture device that traps the outflow slug before sending the outflow back to the koi pond.

Very cheaply constructed. Unit is advertised as outdoors rated. The electrical box is not outdoors rated. Stepdown transformer specifically says indoors use only. The connecting boxes were not in The box.

Drum filter for ponds
This drum filter takes pumped in water, filters out the leaves and other effluent, which flows out the exit. The cleansed water can then be released back in the pond. One note is to check the connections, as the lower tube has a screen, but appears disconnected. Will need to disassemble to fix. Recommended for utility.
