Good E Caps at a Great price
I had a couple of electrolytic capacitors in the power supply section that we're getting weak and starting to make a buzz in my Kenwood KA 5700. Surprisingly they weren't terribly out of spec for being 50 years old. These worked great. Easy to install and now my unit is quiet. Good value and great caps, along with quick shipping.

Measured Low ESR – Excellent Capacitors, Very Happy with Purchase
I ordered two 3300 µF Low ESR 50V electrolytic capacitors to repair a vintage 1979 12V DC / 2.5A power supply. Since I care about component quality, I tested them with two different ESR meters before installation. My measurements: (Room Temp 77F(25C) Capacitor #1: 3139 µF, ESR = 0.020 Ω Capacitor #2: 3115 µF, ESR = 0.018 Ω --> For context: These values are well within the ±20% tolerance rating (acceptable range 2640–3960 µF). The ESR readings are extremely low — which is very good, exactly what you want in a “Low ESR” capacitor, since it means better efficiency and less heat buildup. Compared to the old capacitor (original 5000 µF from 1979): Old capacitor: Measured 5800 µF, ESR = 0.360 Ω New pair in parallel: 6254 µF total, combined ESR ≈ 0.0095 Ω This means not only did I gain extra filtering capacity (better smoothing of the DC voltage), but the effective resistance dropped by nearly 40×. That translates to much better ripple handling, more stable power, and longer-lasting performance. I installed the two capacitors in parallel to replace the original single capacitor, and the power supply is now running cooler, cleaner, and more stable than before. Summary: These JCCON capacitors tested well within spec, showed truly low ESR values, and outperformed the original vintage capacitor by a huge margin. Excellent choice for power supply repairs or DIY electronics projects. Very happy with this purchase.
