Bold Pen/Marker
I bought a set of these pens for myself in both blue and black and thought they were neat to use - something between a pen and a marker - feels and writes like a pen and what's written looks like a thin marker did it. My mother, who is losing her sight quickly, asked me to get her black pens with as bold a tip as I could find and i thought of these for her and so I got them for her. She loves them mainly because she can see what she's writing when she uses them. They do not bleed through the other side, however, because they write boldly, you can see a dark shadow on the other side of the page - of regular notebook paper - that could interfere if you plan to use the other side of the paper. For that reason, it probably isn't the best pen for note taking and word writing. I believe it's best used for labeling or writing bold titles.

I've always wanted a sharpie-esque pen that's less intense, and these pens are perfect! They're great quality, super smooth, and the perfect thickness. They only smear if you smudge immediately after writing, and they do bleed through, but for this thickness and pigment., I think it's reasonable!

Great Brush for Sketching and waterproof washes.
These are very nice, dark black, waterproof pens for sketching. We've tried them all. The Pilot Bravo nib is great for fine line accuracy. Nice dark black color. The Farber PITT B brush pen with its richer dark black India ink is still superior but the Pilot Bravo is a close second. We use both pens.

Great thick pen
Love a thick pen. Quality is great and writes really smooth!

The absolute BEST!
The best pen I have ever written with. It's almost marker like but it doesn't bleed through. It is not rub resistant for at least 3-5 seconds. That could be a problem for left handed people.
