Late afternoon sunlight in fall would shine on my garage door sensor. This confused the system so the door would not close. The thing is easy to install and blocks enough sun so door can now close. Nice, simple, and inexpensive solution!

These solved my issue that I have been having for a very long time with my garage door. In the afternoon, the sun comes around our house and blinds my garage door eye. I have been struggling with it for a long time, and finally decided to do something about it. I should’ve gotten these a long time ago. Now I don’t have to worry about where the sun is, and hopefully this will help with the flying snow in the winter, as well. They are easy to install, as long as your bracket and thumb screw aren’t rusted. I had one that was, and I had to modify it to get it to go on, but they work! I would definitely purchase these again! Well-made, and they do the job.

I kept getting false positives on my western facing garage door in the afternoon/evenings where sunlight/shadows kept tripping the sensors as I tried to close my garage door. These provided enough of a shade to get rid of those and make closing 100% reliable. Install was easy, it's a pretty simple product and has held up well.

These fixed my problem. When sun is bright and shines into garage it interferes with the signal so door would not close. Popped these in and problem gone. Only took a few minutes to install.
