I may get a second set just to have around!
These things are the BEST! Once I get down about 2' I hit a layer of clay and struggle to get through it. These bits are the answer to that issue! I start with the small and make several holes then move to the medium and then the large. I get through the clay a lot faster and easier than I could with just my post hole digger. It saves me time and energy. I've done a lot of work with these and they're tough and durable even when I encounter rocks. When I put in our mailbox post, I encountered a lot of rocks and these worked great to help get the rocks loose so I could get them out. I have trees to plan on our land and these will help get that work done and will save me time and energy. They're a great value for the price!

Good Choice
I bought this to put a small sign in the yard. The issue is that the soil was very compacted and there were some roots to deal with as well. This did a good job getting through all that using a 18v driver. Easy to use, quick and efficient.

excellent product, add small modification! maybe a line of demarcation? depth gage!?
so far, it is very effective. If I were designing a bulb planting auger, though? I would add a stop, or a way to measure depth. My bf was helping, and he kept digging WAY to deep, and since the ground was cold, and I was bare handed filling IN these holes, it became imperative not to drill too deeply! Otherwise, it was a great product!!!

Makes quick work tedious job
Worked for getting through partially frozen ground. I had to start with smaller size get to medium , but late bulbs are finally in the ground.

100% easier than using a hand trowel or a shovel. Drill, drill, drill, plant, plant, plant.
I started seedlings indoors, 2 months before the last frost. I used 3" peat pots. I hardened the seedlings, then when spring hit, it took me a long time with a hand trowel to put them in the ground on my hands and knees, kneeling pad, etc.. So I got the largest size auger WITH the extension, and now I'm able to do 90% of my gardening WHILE STANDING. I was able to weed the area first, by using the auger to loosen or rip up the roots, and had to kneel down to sift/pull the weed roots out. BUT after that everything was done while standing - I drilled the 3" holes, then, while holding the flat of seedlings in one hand, I pulled them out one at a time, and plopped them into the holes. With a hand trowel it took me a 4 hours to do 6 flats (x12 plants) on my hands and knees. Now I can do 15 flats in the same amount of time. HUGE TIME SAVER! (especially with ripping out out stubborn roots like crabgrass). My advice - get the 3" auger size with extension, even if you are doing small 1" seedlings, and then drill once and just bunch the seedlings together in that hole. Best power tool for the garden. I've probably planted 60 flats this year already.

Extension snapped first hole
**Updated review** I stand by my review, but customer service made up for the broken extension by quickly reaching out to remedy the issue. Extension snapped on first hole. No rocks or roots. Damp clay about 12 inches down snap where extension connects to auger…liked the idea of being able to extend each auger bit but a better choice would be getting longer augers that don’t require an extension. Was using the 3” auger bit provided.
