10th gen Civic owners grab this now!
I decided to get a new horn for my 2019 Civic EX hatchback because I'm sure anyone that owns a 2017 - 2020 Civic knows, the OEM horns on these vehicles is embarrassing to use. This particular brand and model (Wolo low tone) is recommended by a popular online Honda dealership, but I decided to get it from Amazon due to its lower price and quicker shipping. Installation: There is a way to install this horn on the hatchback models without removing the bumper which is the method I chose to replace my horn. Just pop off the passenger side fog light trim / cover carefully to gain access to the horn. Unbolt the horn using a 12mm wrench. Make sure to unclip the connector for the old horn. Preparation: Before installation, I purchased a horn wiring adapter through Amazon to make the install plug and play. I connected the wiring harness to the horn and even shrunk wrapped the two connectors for safety and durability. Verdict: This is a much better sounding horn than the OEM horn for this generation Civic. Sounds almost like it came off the Accord. With the combination of the hardware you're removing, and the hardware included with the horn, you can easily find a way to mount the horn and have it look OEM. I do have a couple of concerns with this horn. First is the size. I made sure to point the opening facing downward so debris would not get into the horn that might lead to failure. But because of the downward position it is extremely close to the intercooler piping of the vehicle. Only millimeters to spare. Not sure if this will affect the horn's performance because of vibration or temperature. The other concern was that there were times when I was testing the horn for operation, that it wouldn't work. Not sure if it's due to the wires crossing but I had to do a lot of double checking due to the horn not working after bolting it to the car. Yes the connector is fully clicked together. I made this review literally after installing it in the car so hopefully it lasts as long as the car. If not, I'll be updating this review.

Great horns
I've installed these in all 4 of my cars and trucks now. I've tried some other brands once and they failed with hardly any use. I should have just stuck with what I know works and lasts. In by beater car, my classic joy ride and my work trucks, these are great replacement horns. They seem to be a touch louder than factory oem horns too. In my classic car, I hooked up for on relays and it really sound tough! Two highs and two lows. If someone cuts me off or is about to bump into my classic car, I want to get their attention! 4 of these suckers will more than do the trick too! :)

Loud
Horn is many times louder and much more annoying than the factory beep beep horn on my Triumph Bonneville T120. Easy installation using included brackets (I did paint the brackets black) at original horn location on the bike. Time will tell on longevity but for now I'm happy and would recommend the horn. Stay safe out there.

It’s ight … just wire in the OEM with it
So I put it in and it was about the same as the OEM horn. Maybe a little louder however I got the bright idea to wire in the WOLO in addition to the OEM. Now that made a difference. That made a beautiful loud sound of symphony after I did that. All I had to do was split the one wire going to the horn and the fastener went to the frame (the ground). I finally got to blast it when someone was sitting there on the phone with a green light. Well that woke him up! I suggest doing it that way for the best results. My last review had some kind of profanity so I had to re write it. This is the rated pg review. I must have used swear words talking about how people are asleep at the wheel.

Doesn't last
Purchased twice and each time i needed to preplace in less than 2 years. Not very durable at all. Autopsy revealed rust on the inside and buildup of oxidation on the contacts also on the inside.

Great second horn 2023 Honda crv
Bracket was thin and flimsy but it works. Horn is an excellent addition to the OEM horn. Should have installed sooner.

Great value and a good aftermarket horn. It was definitely a pain removing the front bumper off my 2016 Kia Sorento, but the installation of the horn was a breeze. The instructions were clear and all the necessary hardware was included to make the installation problem free. The horn is actually louder that the original factory horn.

Easy to install, 5 min job on one of my motorcycles. Decent replacement for a stock horn at the price. Not necessarily "louder" as claimed but has a deeper tone that sounds like a "larger" vehicle.

this was a major improvement over my lap dick horn that i did have on my bike. Won't scare anyone out of their socks but it is a LOT louder than the stock horn

My SUV had only one relatively loud horn, but it wasn't loud enough to blast people cutting me off, which happens on average daily. So I checked my fuse panel and noticed the horn fuse is 15 Amps. Then, knowing this horn and my original one each require approximately 5 Amps, I realized I could use them both, hopefully without blowing the fuse. So I connected them to the horn wiring using soldering and XT-60 connectors in case I needed to easily disconnect one if the fuse blew with both working simultaneously. The result is a slightly louder blast with both working together. And the fuse hasn't blown! A challenge was accessing the horn and using the original steel horn mounting bracket to secure both horns. Now, having mounted and connected this new horn, I can blast people who cut me off. My cost in adding this horn is the cost of a few feet of wire, $12 for the horn, plus another dollar for the XT60 connectors. So I'm happy.

Not as loud as I had hoped. Same amount of loud as my stock horn and the decibels are supposedly higher. Easy install, shower up quick.
