Was Red #40 Really Necessary?
So it tastes like a Watermelon Jolly Rancher, which is cool, but can be a bit much depending on how you mix it.Seems to mix okay, but takes some time to dissolve completely, which is a pain if you ask me. It does like to get everywhere in its powdered state, so be mindful of that or else you'll have a mess on yourself.I think it's a shame there's Red #40 in it and a giant label slapped on the side stating, "Cancer and Reproductive Harm." Ya don't need any dyes in there to begin with, it's not like you're putting it on display for ppl to buy. I'd be a lot happier w it if it didn't have those labels and unnecessary dyes, because it seems like a cheaper way to boost up the price.Idk if it relieves pain, but it seems to hydrate nicely and is decent quality otherwise. Energy levels are fine too.

Contains Sucralose & Red Dye #40
This Rule One Essential Amino 9 powder is manufactured in the USA in a GMP-certified facility, which is a must for me. It has undergone banned substances testing by Informed Choice. It contains 7.5g of 9 essential amino acids, including 5g of BCAAs. In addition, it includes 500mg of electrolytes. It is free of stimulants and added sugar. However, I am not completely satisfied with the ingredients, which is why I am deducting a star. They use sucralose, which is an artificial sweetener, and Red Dye #40, which is unnecessary. The use of these ingredients will prevent me from purchasing this product in the future. I ordered the sour watermelon flavor which tastes like a watermelon Jolly Rancher candy and masks the unpleasant taste of the amino acids. It's a bit sweet for me so I add additional water. If you are new to amino acids, beware that they can send some people (including me) running to the restroom. It's a minor annoyance but typical with any product of this type in my case. At the suggested serving size of 1 scoop (11.5g) per day, this container of Essential Amino 9 powder will last for 30 days. At the current selling price of $23.99, it costs $0.80 per serving. The expiration date is 21 months in the future.I think it is important to learn as much as you can about a company and a supplement before taking it. There are a lot of bad supplements on the market that can be detrimental to your health. The supplement industry is not regulated so it is up to each person to fully research products before consuming them. According to internet search results, Rule One Proteins was founded in 2014. Rule One has an extensive website that is fully functional and well-developed. This particular product is offered for sale on the website. They are active on social media platforms and have 51K followers on Facebook. Rule One prints their address, phone number, and website right on the label. Google Maps shows a three-story commercial property with no signage on the building. The website offers a contact form and email address for customer support.

Refreshing Taste Meets Unwanted Additives
I was excited to try this amino acid powder, and the first thing that caught my attention was the lively sour watermelon taste. It reminded me of a classic candy, but with an extra tang that made each sip refreshing. I did notice, however, that it can be a bit too sweet for some people, so mixing it with enough water seems key. Once it’s dissolved, it goes down smoothly and feels like a good way to stay hydrated and help muscles recover after a workout. On the other hand, I did encounter some minor annoyances. A few minutes after drinking it, it caused occasional stomach rumblings that had me rushing for a quick break. Opening the container can also be a little messy, with powder puffing out when you first peel back the seal. The biggest concern for me is that the formula includes artificial coloring, which is disappointing to see in a product aimed at supporting overall health. Some folks won’t mind it, but for anyone watching out for synthetic dyes, it’s definitely something to keep in mind.Ultimately, if you’re looking for something that offers amino acids, electrolytes, and a genuinely tasty flavor, this supplement does the job—provided you can handle the sweetness and don’t react poorly to its ingredients. It’s competitively priced for what you get, and it’s versatile enough to use whenever you need a quick hydrating boost. For anyone who wants a more natural ingredient list or has a sensitive stomach, the added dyes and possible digestive upset might be deal-breakers. Overall, it’s a mixed bag that can be awesome for some and disappointing for others.

Another winner from Rule 1
Rule 1 Essential Amino 9 is an excellent choice for EAAs. They mix well with a battery powered stick blender, or in a shaker bottle. I would say skip the spoon but that's no fault of theirs - aminos take a little extra effort to dissolve. The sour watermelon flavor is great! I mix 1 scoop with about 16oz of water and sip during my workouts. The taste reminds me of Jolly Rancher hard candy.

This stuff is solid.
First of all, I am not at all concerned about the fact this contains Red 40. Not at all. With that said, this is a solid EAA supplement with a solid profile, and it mixes well and tastes great. The sour watermelon is really more watermelon than it is sour; the sour is more subtle, which makes it more enjoyable than if it was actually sour. The flavor is just pleasantly refreshing.Additionally, I didn’t notice any side effects or unwanted effects after taking this. I read some others had some stomach issues or something, but I did not experience anything like that at all.All things considered, this EAA supplement is solid.
