Super Stay Lumi-Matte Foundation, Lightweight and Buildable Full Coverage Foundation Makeup For Up To 30HR Wear, 120, 1 Count

I LOVE THIS FOUNDATION! I have dry skin and always do my skin care routine prior to putting on my makeup. I have curated a routine that keeps me hydrated and plays well with ALL makeup. I have been wearing Haus Labs Triclone foundation for years, but my skin is fairer than it normally is (I live in the desert and am inside all Summer) and figured I'd try this foundation as opposed to trying to figure out my new shade in Haus Lab's 65 shade options (they have a VERY confusing skin tone format). I found 118 perfect for my light/neutral skin tone. This foundation is JUST AS GOOD as any foundation you can find in Sephora. I have tried SO many foundations, and this goes on smoothly, covers well, and like the Triclone, keeps a skin-like finish. I will say that it dries down quickly so there is not a lot of time for placement. Do not pump this on your face and blend section at a time (NOBODY should be pumping foundation on their face) because it dries fast. I pump two pumps it into my hand, dip my brush in and work section at a time, then repeat the process till my face is covered. This LASTS ALL DAY, doesn't budge once it's dried, and withstands sweat, the heat, and a full day of activities. I would say this reminds me of a combination of Triclone Foundation and Estee Lauder Double wear. The LUMI-MATTE finish is muah! CHEF'S KISS. Since I use a moisturizing skin care routine, oftentimes a luminous foundation can be too much glow for my taste. Then I have to powder more heavily than I like, then it's too matte and I need to use a hydrating setting spray and lumi blush. It's a vicious cycle. This dries and has a soft, illumination to it but it also dries to be a matte finish. How? IDK! I end up powdering ONLY where I use concealer and this gives me that perfect finish I am after. This NEVER ends up being too luminous for me. I think anyone can pull this foundation off, oily or dry. I think this would be AWESOME for oily skin people who want to wear a lumi foundation but can't without over-powdering the face. They probably need to make more shades of this line because as it stands, there aren't enough to cover every skin tone, and they need to. I predict that this, along with the Super Stay Skin Tint, will be a part of Maybelline's permanent collection. I used to use the Eraser foundation for years, but this is much better as it stays put ALL DAY LONG. I'm so glad I tried this as it has become my go-to foundation I wear everyday now. If you have dry skin, do not skip your moisturizing routine prior to wearing this as I could foresee it becoming patchy and dry looking. For oily skin people, I think a grippy primer like Elf Power Grip or Maybelline Grippy primer would work well under this. I have Milk Makeup Hydro-Grip and I haven't tried it with that yet, but I will and follow up with my results! Maybelline and L'oreal have been killing it lately! They keep this up and I won't ever have to step into a Sephora again!

Wow, this is great foundation. As a lifelong makeup addict (now over 60), this stuff is the BOMB. It feels sheer but covers well, is light and doesn't look cakey at all on skin like other foundations can once skin ages. I put it on the middle of my face mostly and blend outward to cover dark circles, nose, etc. I use my fingers to blend and finish with a dense makeup brush to remove any excess.

I tried this foundation due to Nikki La Rose Makeup on Youtube. Medium coverage, satin finish, really good for normal-dry skin types (or the winter months!) Pretty long-lasting and fairly large shade range. The online color match (which you can find on the Maybelline website) was very helpful. I tried two shades, a winter one (120) and a summer shade (129) & both shades definitely lean a bit yellowish.

For the price point, this one is hard to beat. I’m 54, and honestly, I just need more coverage than most tinted moisturizers give. This is a great option for anyone who wants a little more coverage AND doesn’t want a dewy finish. I would call the finish more of a smooth satin finish…it’s much more natural looking than dewy or matte…it’s the perfect in-between texture. My skin is on the drier side, with a bit of oiliness around my nose…I have a good bit of fine lines, especially around my eyes and I also have larger pores 😵‍💫- this just evens it all out and leaves a smooth finish. I have found with different application methods, that a buffing foundation brush works best to ‘blend and blur’…e.l.f. makes a couple of good ones, also reasonably priced.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have mature skin. That is, I never took care of it, tanned way too much, etc. In the last couple of years, I've noticed my pores are appearing larger. I have been trying multiple foundations that are advertised as for "mature skin" or "color-matching", only to be disappointed. I saw this Maybelline Super Stay Lumi-Matte Foundation reviewed on quite a few websites and I figured, what do I have to lose? Other foundations that I have tried just did not look right because of color or, worse yet, settling into wrinkles. I am so happy that I gave this foundation a try. I have slightly olive-toned skin and did not want a "pinkish" tone so I chose the #129 - Neutral Cool color. It was a perfect match!!! It seemed to go on light but then develops to a more natural (and not pink) tint. As I said, I have "mature skin" and have developed deep smile lines and moderate crows feet. This foundation, paired with Maybelline Super Stay Liquid Concealer (SS Concealer #30) and Rimmel London Stay Matte - 003 - Primer has made a huge difference with those smile lines and the crows feet are now barely visible. I put a dab or two onto a makeup disk and then apply the foundation with a brush and it goes on smoothly. The liquid is not too thick & not too thin. But, the thing that I am most happy with is that it is a perfect match for my skin color. As I said, the color/tint appears light when you first apply it so, don't keep applying more. It'll change. You can build on it, though. I have not needed to. It seems to last about 10-12 hours without needing any correction. With it's matte finish, it does not look like I have foundation plastered over my entire face. It evens out my ruddy skin to a perfect finish and tone. The only thing that I do not like is the bottle's cap. It feels pretty fragile to me. I truly wish I that I had found this earlier. I am so happy with the color match and the final matte appearance.

This is definitely a long wearing foundation. It’s lightweight, and works great on mature skin. The coverage is perfect and buildable if necessary. My other products perform wonderful with foundation. It’s a great value for your money, and has no smell. Good stuff

By far the best foundation - beats out the high end products. Will last all day with zero touch ups. It goes on more semi matte - not dewy at all. Highly recommend!

This is the best foundation I've ever tried. I got shade 110. I have a very fair neutral skin tone that leans a tad bit more on the yellow side. This foundation is literally my perfect match. It has the perfect finish too. It's matte which is great for my combination/oily skin, but doesn't look flat or dry either because of the lumi effect. I like the natural makeup look, and this foundation makes my skin look flawless without looking like there is cakey foundation on it. At first I tried shade 112 which looked terrible on me. It was a bit orange and too pink for my skin tone. If I hadn't tried this shade I would have thought this foundation was a no go. So glad I ordered 110 instead since it is lighter and warmer. It also lasts throughout the day and doesn't oxidize. Another bonus is that the ingredients are very good compared to most foundations. So happy! Do recommend!

This foundation formula is magic! My very textured skin looks so much smoother with this on and it lasts longer than any other foundation I've tried. I have oily acne prone skin that gets dry patches and irritation due to dry climate and tretinoin but this foundation always looks good. Good coverage, and is lightweight. My only thing is that lightest shade 102 isn't quite light enough for me unfortunately especially in the winter, and it can pull a little orange when it oxidizes. I really hope Maybelline can add a few more shades!

Honestly, this is such a great foundation. It’s become a total staple in my collection and has officially replaced my previous high-end go-tos. The shade match is spot on, and the formula is beautiful. It's smooth, blendable, and super easy to apply with either a brush or sponge. It layers well with my skincare and mix-ins like facial oil or bronzing drops, and both cream and powder products sit perfectly on top. I have normal-to-oily skin, and it really holds up throughout the day without breaking apart or settling. I’ve worn it for 12–14 hour workdays and it still looks great with minimal touch-ups. As someone who’s mostly worn high-end foundations for years, I’m genuinely impressed with this one and would highly recommend it.
