Nice dock
Got this for my Mac Mini m4 pro to add some additional ports. At first any drive I attached got ejected but after a Reboot all is solid. I found that my Tb4 drive shows the same speed as when connected directly to my Mac however my TB5 drive is about 20-25% slower on the write speeds which is common in docks

Fast dock, OK temperatures but really needs one more port to be perfect.
This dock is decent but I wish it had at least one more port. Does get a tad warm but unless I stack it on other docks it is more than reasonable.

Does the job
I have a macbook pro m4 max and I use this with two monitors and to deliver power. It's pretty reliable. Unfortunately you cannot plug 3 monitors into it. Also I had a usb switcher hub plugged into it and randomly it would shutdown and restart the dock. Plugging the usb hub directly into my mac fixed the issue.

Don't Buy!
Unit does not work out of the box and being returned. Unit is getting power but has no connectivity between SSD, computer and second monitor.

Looks great on paper... doesn't like T-bolt2 or T-bolt3
Not impressed. I almost think this is not actually an OWC product. I got this for the extra thunderbolt ports and it's T-bolt 3 backward compatibility. So far: none of my tb3 nor my TB3>TB2 cables/drives are recognized. So the whole point of this very pricey device is essentially moot. I don't get the impression it's a defective unit but I could be wrong. I am using this on a 2017 imac 28" with a i7-7700k and a lots of ram and storage. If OWC would like to swap this out for a replacement, I will be happy to update this review. For now: NOT recommended.

Can run two displays from M1 Max on single cable.
This is exactly what I've been looking for. It's allowing me to run TWO 27" 4k displays and charge my laptop off of a single cable to my Apple M1 Max Macbook Pro.1 cable for Power and two 4k displays opening up two TB4 ports on my laptop for external hard drives or 10GBE ethernet. AWESOME.
