Car Mechanics Made Easy

I bought this book for my husband who is an engineer relating to motor sport, he thought this book was a good grounding for anyone wanting to become a mechanic.

Lots of good information in this book about how cars work and how to maintain them, with some helpful tips on diagnosing problems. Written in a non-formal way that is easy to read and understand.Plenty of diagrams to help show how things work Includes some "How to" repair and maintenance sheets with qr codes you can scan to take you to handy videos for more information.

Great book, very accessible even if you know next to nothing as a starting point. I like that it gradually goes more in-depth while keeping everything really easy to understand.

Very well written, good use of simplicity and comparison to help understand complexities of mechanics. Good read to get a better understanding of the basics of an engine and common issues / repairs

A must have for beginner and trainee mechanics

This is a great way to get started with car mechanics - it breaks everything down into easy to understand parts and even offers potential causes and solutions to common problems. I'm a total novice and this book is proving a great start for me as someone who knows nothing. It's been super helpful!

The book is very good for getting the basic knowledge of the car mechanics and it's written in an easy and sometimes amusing way. I enjoyed reading it.

I’m very excited to dive deeper into this book. I was skeptical after reading the more popular titles on this topic. I started to doubt if it could car maintenance could even be taught via a book. I was pleasantly surprised to find the author had laid out the chapters in a logical order. He starts with a bird’s eye view discussing the basic tools required for most jobs. The book then works through each automotive system. As he states in the first chapter, each section starts with theory and then is quickly met with practical application. There is a large appendix at the back featuring everything from regular maintenance to common sounds and their fixes. I love the easy to read font size, the detailed diagrams, and QR codes linking to how-to videos. If you hate feeling helpless, buy this book!

One of the book's greatest strengths is its tone. Technical enough to impress, yet light enough for a casual car enthusiast.
