I love this thing. I have to check all the smoke detectors in my adult care home monthly and this is perfect and get the job done in 5 min. I dont need a step stool.

Pole extends but retracts when pressing it against anything. I’ve tried everything from testing exit signs, emergency lights, and smoke detectors but it begins to retract and doesn’t allow me to apply force to properly press the test button. Cool handle and wrist wrap but other then that I don’t recommend.

These are a safe alternative to dragging a ladder around. Plus they are light and fit in my tool bag.

This tool is very efficient, but breaks easily. I use it for inspections to check smoke detectors. I’ve had it 2 weeks and a small piece flew out while extending it. This was the second one I purchased. I need another one, but need to find a better quality replacement
