This is the essential book on color for quilters. If you can’t get this one (Mine from Amazon is a reprint - and it’s perfect), Joen authored a later book - similar). In addition to color, she teaches about spatial relationships to areas of your quilt design and other topics. I was so glad to treat myself to this reference - our local library copy has taken a beating over the years.

I hook traditional rugs and the colour theory and colour combinations are wonderful. I can apply everything in the book directly to my art. I love it!

I'm a traditional rug hooker and color planning is a big part of our art. Have seen a lot of color wheels but this book goes into depth as to how you can use color. to create certain effects. It explains how colors interact and has helpful exercises. Will be in my library forever and often referenced I'm sure.

This book is filled with color inspiration and theory. Understanding color theory is important and helps with the design of beautiful rugs. I look forward to using this information to construct beautiful hand hooked rugs.

Best book for color and design using fabric to vey the art of the quilt. Out of print but worth finding.
