Perfect!
I needed this for my 9th gen iPad to provide audio to my mixer. Worked out great, don't have to worry about a dongle, good connection, already use this for a breakfast I entertained at and no problems at all.

Gets the job done
I wanted to play keyboards into headphones along with music from my phone. This cable lets me patch the phone audio into the keyboard's line in. Alternatively, it lets me patch the phone into a mixer or one of the channels in my PA for practice or performance. It works exactly as I'd hoped. The sound quality is great. The cable is long enough to give some placement options for the phone.

One side worked
Got one with a short at the USB C end and only one side would work consistently. You could jiggle the USB C end and sometimes the other side Would kick in. Let go of the end and it fails again. Tried on two different iPads with same results. Went to send back but, “Original Packaging” by then was in the dump so, this cable is destined for the trash and I probably will switch brands and try again.
