Probably saved my life
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, but over the weekend I had a mountain backpacking trip where the weather was expected to be colder than usual - 25F overnight. My sleeping bag is only rated for 35F and if you've ever backpacked, you know the ratings they give are for "you're probably going to survive", not "you're going to be warm and comfy." But I didn't have the budget for a new bag, and didn't want the extra weight either. We're going into summer now and this was a temporary need. These warmers saved the day. To hedge my bet, I used a set of toe warmers (the stick on kind), then two mega-warmers, one between my legs and one up by my chest. They're 2oz apiece, and the toe warmers are 1oz, so for 3oz extra weight per night (6oz total, it was a two-night trip) I had a reasonably acceptable solution. And, at $1.40 each, this was about $3 (to include the toe warmers) per night. That's $6 and 6oz extra for a two-night trip. This actually had a side benefit too, because when I got up, I had two warmers to put in my pockets as hand warmers while making breakfast. They still had PLENTY of warmth left in them, which made the morning nicer than it usually would be (I usually don't bother with hand warmers in the morning. It feels like a waste if you only need them for an hour or two.) I think I'm going to start carrying a set of these more regularly. They're much cheaper and lighter than a Thermolite or similar "liner" style solution, and while I would never try to use these on a long, multi-day (or -month) trip, for 2-4 nights I think it's totally acceptable. You never know when you're going to get a cold snap, especially in the wilderness, and it doesn't take much to turn "decent night" into "bad night" if it gets too cold.

Work as advertised!
I have used these body warmers for years . They give off good heat and the heat lasts for a long time . Tip : if you don’t need the heat they provide any more that day or time , slip them in a plastic bag squeeze the air out of the bag and seal it up . The next time you need heat from the one you stored , open the bag take it out and you will have heat again until it finally is used up !

Worked great
Used these during a hard freeze to keep our outside water faucet from freezing. Worked really great and kept the faucet nice and warm. I have also used a few to keep my hands warm and they have worked very well. There is no funky smell to them. Easy open package and just a few shakes to the warm gets it going.

They do not hold heat as long as they used to...

Hypothermia Management
Environmental, aquatic or traumatic, all managed the same way, stop heat loss and rewarm. By fresh each season, they expire

GREAT LARGE SIZE
BEST WARMERS I USE! I have tried every kind of warmer out there for winter backpacking! These are huge and keep my mummy bag nice and toasty! They do not last as long as the packaging says but they are enough to slip into my bag about an hour before I get in and keep it warm most of the night!
