Sunstar GUM Original Orthodontic Wax

I bought this as I have a temporary tooth plate (my front tooth of course) and when I talk my lip catches on the tooth. Then it gets stuck. So I try to casually get the lip off the tooth by rubbing my nose while simultaneously trying to use my thumb to lift my lip clear. Alternatively I wriggle my nose from side to side (like the tv witch whose name I can’t remember) to loosen it off. If I was a fluffy bunny it would be cute. I’m not. It’s not. Plus neither options works. Once I melt and stick the wax over the top of the tooth, problem solved. No more rubbing and sticking. Plus it’s clear so no one sees it.

Had a sharp tooth which was splitting my tongue covered my tooth with this it's amazing stopped my pain immediately would definitely recommend

Bought the mint version to test it out - feels about twice as soft as the regular one and the mint part feels trivial at most. Will keep buying the regular but would recommend skipping this one really.

Was very hard and not very mouldable and didnt taste good

Product doesn't seem right as I have just woken choking on a piece of this wax. Bought it after getting sores on my tongue from fixed retainer fitted to teeth. Followed instructions, rolled wax to warm and applied to dry area of retainer. Very hard, dry and isnt really soft enough to mould . Bits break off easily and it doesn't stick to retainer effectively. Seemed dried out. So glad I woke up in time as could have been serious if I hadn't!.

Sadly this did not help me with my partial denture, but I am sure it would help other people.

Honestly it does what it needs to do. Very simple and easy to use. You just pull off enough to use on areas of your braces or retainers that are causing irritation, pain will be so much better after one use. I purchased for my retainers; the lower retainer was causing friction and irritation in my inner cheek. It was super painful, I had stopped wearing my retainer to let it heal which isn’t good. So i purchased these to coat my retainers to keep from making it worse and relieve the pain. The first night of use felt relief it did feel weird but it was some relief. By night 2 my cheek felt a lot more healed and hardly any pain. I believe I will be using these for the long run or at least until I can get fitted for new retainers that may not cause friction. As this happens often. I do wish you got more for your money, it doesn’t seem that cost effective for what you get in my opinion, but still affordable if you need some relief in a pinch. I believe one pack would last a couple weeks so not too bad. It comes with a cute case also so if you wanted to buy 2 and keep one in your purse or bag it would be perfect.
